So, having very good M&A lawyers themselves, NN might have seen an advantage in letting DLA work for EUA...

Exactly, if NN are on the DLA client list it's interesting to see them working for EUA in a deal to sell to NN. I don't buy that.

There would have to be approval from NN for DLA to work for EUA, which is odd as NN have history with DLA and EUA doesn't. Unless the NN mentioning on the DLA client list is an old thing and they are currently not working for NN. However, it's still odd that the best in class is not working for one of their current/past clients but allow them to work for a company they are looking to buy..

So, NN giving DLA the green light to work for EUA is the only option if NN is indeed planning to bid for EUA. Otherwise I cannot see NN involved in bidding for EUA if DLA are representing EUA. It's odd to say the least.
