Just an observation. AFC announced this morning it is to issue new shares at 5% discount (68p) resulting in a 7.4% dilution. They are currently up 5% at 71p!!

I would assume that if we are to raise funds post EGM it will be these treasury shares that are issued, rather than new.

It's a vote to allow the Bod to issue up to 250m new shares. That's up to and not they are going to.
Shares carry a nominal value of 0.1p in our case, but would be issued at whatever price the directors and broker agree.

I also think it's dangerous to assume no more news until after the EGM. There are a lot of moving parts here. The vote to allow cash raise might be related to just on part of what's going on, or even just a tactic. I think it's fair to say you trade at your peril and you wouldn't want to be out...

One thing the "derampers" are correct about is that no one knows what's going on.
If that makes you nervous, then sell and go. Easy?
However, the flip is no one knows because the Bod, as in all things, are honest and respected sticking to NDA's.
Every move they make has shown their aptitude for what they're doing and added value. And they're still holding. For what?
You either trust the Bod (and ignore the fraudulent market) or don't.
Cut all the chatter and just make your mind up.

I'm not 100% confident that money won't be raised. I voted in favour. I don't think it will 250m new shares, I think that was just a coverall number previously used. Still keeping intentions under Wraps.
Companies can raise money for any number of reasons, not always due to financial stress and not always to "keep the lights on".
What I am 100% confident in is our Bod. If we do raise cash I'm absolutely sure it will be add further value, getting another bargain and moving us closer to payday.

Judging by Nikos other post, I'm guessing he needed to give himself a bit of reassurance this morning and thought he'd share.
Unfortunately, looks more like someone jumping on the bandwagon with any research done.

These are strategically important resources and as with any other (upon which you are entirety reliant on imports) it would short sighted to not diversify your supply.
So yes, I can the Japanese (and most other larger and reliant nations) looking for supply from as many nations as possible.
South Africa is relatively benign in a geopolitical sense, but history shows us how assumptions can be dangerous.
Just my opinion.
