I think you’re pretty smart Trek. I have a similar view to you. I’ve sold up for now worried about more cash raising (dilution) down the line also not to mention some small negative fall outs from Trump tariff exposure. I’ve gone in very heavy recently on WJG as it’s cancelled its dividends built up a very substantial cash bank that makes its valuation close to its current market cap looking at cash only not its book value. I don’t think it will pay dividends for atleast a year and it’s clearing off its cladding legacy upgrades that are all provisioned. To me it’s fair value is c.90p and its new CEO kitchen sinked it causing a drop off to the 30’s when it was once a 200p+ share. It’s totally Trump proof thank heavens - Usual caveats DYI, GLA (Who says that 😁).

Stew you don’t know Wood quite well at all, the BOD didn’t know Wood at all. You premise on debt is rather floored if more debt is arising from costs of doing business as costs are way above PAT. I’m frankly hoping the macro findings in the accounts don’t frighten off Sidara’s 35p indicative bid. I have zero hope of a better situation or offer.

I think you are Spot on ThePeople with your post. It’s very 50 / 50 at best 35p offer or lower or good night Vienna to all shareholders. Is the quality of revenue profitability and assets bigger than the debt and yes by how much per share and once Sidara goes through the dirty washing will the still want to keep and iron the clothes.

Robert - Revenue is largely irrelevant same as EBITDA aka BS for earnings to quote Warren Buffet. Its profit after tax, net / retained cash that make a quality business. Who would buy a business that is just paying the banks for years unless there is high margin projects and high quality capital assets that are way higher than debt and interest on debt. A lot of people are going to get very dissapori ted if Sidara pull out. I think it’s that or the Administrators unfortunately and I would hope for 25p to 30p when all is said and done.

If an offer is made after seeing if Wood is at all solvent recoverable with its vast debts and potentially worst contract commitments it will be at the indicative 35p maximum. I think it more likely Sidara will cite the fresh findings, offer 20p to 25p and complete BOD endorsement as the BOD will have known about this and the culture behind it that allowed this mess to grow and erupt for sure (They should be locked up like THG CEO and Chair ++ but FCA are useless).

Results are due any day and clearly they have been leaked. They are going to be very good obviously. I think they will come out tomorrow now as if not as early as possible this should be FCA investigated.

Stanley, this isssame guy the laughed and dismissed a 170p per share take out due to his ego and total disregard for other owners of the company (aka us PI shareholders). Now look at us floundering at 24p. MM is a total Richard Cranium at the end of the day. You can’t believe anything he says. His last BS when robbing us of our listed company was how net profitable RemainCo would be and we could expect dividends etc. umbers sho huge debt and very high lease payments £22m (hidden and not in the EBITDA number). Guess who the landlord is of the properties, yes it’s MM, so he effectively has a golden share still. No one will take out or try to take out THG when MM can just jack up the rental fees. He has got us all in his complete control unfortunately. He would have to throw in the properties and that’s not likely. I really messed up on this investment to be honest with a very significant investment and I can’t see any real light at the end of the tunnel at all now……

My guess is Sidara will cite a worse balance sheet and quality of projects that originally communicated & drop their offer 20p ish. I think the BOD will recommend the offer so they can run for the hills rather than face future shareholders meetings and wrath. It’s got low ball what a mess all over it and it’s a sitting duck for a 20p ish offer.

The number that counts as always is retained or net earnings after tax and thats a £41M loss. Not great at all.

Here are key headlines MM tried to hide in the results:

THG reported a pretax loss from continuing operations of GBP202.4 million in 2024, widened from GBP92.3 million in 2023, as revenue declined by 6.8% to GBP1.75 billion from GBP1.88 billion.

It’s more MM smoke and mirrors. Whey futures are going up from a very low point. So future input costs are going to be higher not lower.

Debt still £250m. No growth anymore. I think one can polish a turd but it’s still a turd. Matt is great turd polisher. I’m sure he polishes other things as well 🙈Now know why the SP stays where it is, it’s about its true value.

Despite the majority shareholders, the spread is nice and tight on quite large buys in tranches of around 100k shares. I think the brokers and advisors are not pushing Pebble. If it were to open up and share progress featuring in IC, Citywire, Shares mag and so on I thing it would be around 70p in current markets. Anyway as Buffet said which is very true shares always find their intrinsic value, sometimes the SP has quite a lag / delay and in that is the opportunity as long as it’s an up trend that’s lagging. I feel very bullish about Pebble from updates and their space at a measly 36p to buy. More patience clearly needed 🤗

I would think looking at Director purchases, the share buy backs for cancellation and the excellent progress from the podcasts etc that 36p is just too low for Pebble Gp. Seems as good now if not better especially regarding the ever important EPS data that we should be back over 100p. Does anyone who follows Pebbles have any ideas why it’s drifting along in dead calm at 36p? (I’ve looked and can’t see anything at all that negative).
