Please guys, you don't give away millions of pounds as a thank you for all your hard work. Let's not be in doubt, they are trying to make as much money as possible from this, as are we. I am just going to accept it as a fund raise at 60p which we will need if we are taking this further along the production route and we need to drill other tenements and the rest of Alpala.

It's a discussion board. People may have different views. It does not make them silly or dim, maybe they just see things in a different way. Maybe its the ones that don't understand that are the dim ones?
Anyhow I've been thinking, if solg is still in business in one or two or three years we will need funds. Maybe 60p options is no different to a fund raising at that price? At least employees will benefit and not the usual old boys club in the city

The team travel the world telling the world the same story. Best find in a decade, low capex, great goverment support etc etc yet fail to mention they will be printing themselves free shares by the millions. Only if the price is right of course, its an option after all. Sounds like QE 3 to me. Nice work if you can get it. And there was me investing thousands of my own money and sweating on it for years. I should have just got a job with the company and got a free ride

Yes that's 16,575,000 that would have been split between less shares ie us getting more.
I like the expression legalised theft! That's exactly what it is and I will be voting against it.

Interesting also how they have allocated the staff shares without shareholders approval but are having a vote about the director's options, is that because they think themselves it's perhaps a bit cheeky?

I can live with employees getting options but directors is taking the Michael imo.
In the real world you would have an option to take less salery more options/ shares etc or bigger salery but no shares,
Never heard of massive salery and cheap shares unless you are a huge company paying out Billions in dividends, I know we are main market but this has AIM written all over it

Imo the 3 years gives them far more chance of getting the shares cheaply because the sp has 3 years to get there, if it was only one year they would have to get the sp there a lot quicker hense harder to achieve.
Solfinger I was talking about the directors getting the options not the employees but even so if they want to reward them, give them a pay rise, why take it from the shareholders.

They are basically saying they can buy shares for 60p at anytime over the next 3 YEARS no matter what the share price.

Anything can happen, there are no guarantees. It could go for a lot cheaper if there are issues with the PFS .
We are essentially paying for those options from our own pocket from our potential profit through the dilutive effect. Long-term holders have taken massive risk for years now. Who's giving me my cheap shares?

I will be voting against the director options at 60p.
Reasons being:They are more likely to sell Cascabel/ Solgold cheaper the bigger and cheaper the slice they have ala glen parsons at marl. Never forget they are only human after all.
Secondly they get handsomely payed for what they do, let them pay from their own pocket for their shares like we do. Align their risk with ours.

The rise in 2013 was not because we got the licence( a drill head had not been in the ground at that stage) it was because there was a rumour of a biggy and the environmental licence was the green light for all systems go!

Let's see, we will be drilling in whole new areas,any whiff of a second biggy and we are in Uncharted territory

It will be very interesting to see what happens when we get drilling approval. Back in 2013 we shot up from 3p to 15p in a week on the award of an environmental licence for Cascabel.

Looking at the latest​ shareholder register you posted Schlemiel.if a large number of shares are picked up now, there is going to be a tiny free float, I would imagine pi's have a sizeable amount that most will not be selling easily.

I dont study anything but know when ever bhp maxit or newcrest have bought in, it starts a new phase of rises, as interest wanes tbe sp falls back a bit. Funny old world really lol

Yes I understand what people are saying. The point I would like to make is TA is useful in times of low news but imo becomes harmful in times of regular news flow esp with low cap shares. You can get badly burnt.

I disagree about the TA predictions, that Bottm chap was screaming sell a couple of weeks ago to buy back cheaper, the charts forgot to tell him BHP had done a deal with Nick for new Shares at 45p a pop, funny that!

So what have other big dividend payers done this year? Hsba, the house builders etc etc? Oh yeah! Their all down about the same amount. Funny that!
