Many thanks RR: a very interesting listen. Reflects what I have always considered to be the whole fascination of AIM investing and have been amazed since discovering BBs that for many the "long-term" is to closing time that day and the "longer term" is to the end of the week. And their contributions exceedingly repetitive and tedious! Looking forward to hearing what the BOD have done with our £10m in due course whether it be a works outing or a significant capital project but will enjoy (private) consideration of the "what ifs" until they tell us. ATB
In a nutshell (no pun intended) P777: always quite mystified when an AIM Co raises money and is immediately vilified by the mob. To me it's a fair indication of growth prospects which is entirely what AIM is about. Talk about wanting something for nothing - those denigrators of fund raising are clearly of the product of the me, me, I want, I get, virtual world generation, far more suited to game-boy credits and lacking a definition of "investment" i.e creation of capital. ATB
Stayed in for the weekend again Girdzy: sorry you are in the dark: really can't understand why the BOD don't have you on their top priority all confidential info list. That's all the fun of AIM: you have to be shrewd and anticipate the market. It's known as "investment" generally but on AIM it's "punting" and not for the faint hearted. Also much more enjoyable when the glass is half full and one is not on a life-time mission of destruction of hope and optimism....errm and humour. ATB
Woody: welcome to the Bids BB. A wealth of experience here at your finger tips - not necessarily in financial terms I have to say - but the jangling of crystal balls and the predictions therefrom is second to none - even for AIM. ATB
Girdsy et al; we need your pearls: Mrs M desperate to know whether to buy, sell or hold. Only stayed in for the weekend having heard nothing from the cognescenti who know everything that is going on despite a total silence from anyone within the company itself but your odd contributions give much pause for thought.
Quite spooky is it not KP22: but you did have to admire their stamina: can't think that having demonstrated they know f*** all they have decided that they actually know f*** nothing.
Reckon Girdsy will be the first one back to tell us that whatever happens he was the first one to say that it would happen and if nothing happens he will say that he told us that nothing would happen. Mrs M and I just waiting like you to see what happens: much more reliable!
Another contract for the dinosaurs Mrs M; oh goodie, does that mean we will be rich?; not really, it just means another contract which is a bit better than not getting one; but clever people say the PS will be 12p; yes, indeed my drear, by which I presume you refer to the cognoscenti of the LSE BB who seem know far more about the financial affairs of AIM Cos than the CEOs and SFOs themselves; well they do; oh no they don't; well, they say they do; yes, and I told you that I had errrm, well, no need to to go into that; another glass Mrs M; don't mind if I do Mr M.
Very shrewd and profound, simple ( very fitting if I might say so): you haven't seen it so you don't know what's in it: a valuable contribution to the BB; hopefully the last until you see it and then you will know what's in it just like the rest of us.
Hmm : suggest change of broker par: or have you left off a few 0000000s.
Absolute show-stopper fildz: just can't wait for Girdzy's reply: Girdzy and fashion house: you couldn't make it up; but Mrs M will be mightily impressed that he predicted this development and will send for the Autumn Ann Summer's catalogue directly. Actually, to be totally honest, a video game where the player can errrm change errm what people are wearing, or not............might just buy a few more tomorrow.
Didn't want to be out of this for the weekend Bott. Will be sad to get out at all cos I will miss Girdsy's cheery humour and goodwill.
ATB to ALTHs
apologies : insert "outing".......
Last Broker's Note of which I have experience predicted £3-£5 SP accompanied by the usual BB drivel of lifetime opportunities and Boom and pictures of rocket ships. SP is currently 11p: though to be fair to the Note it did not stipulate a precise millennium so one can't argue. AIM does seem to attract a certain genre like football teams who get the biggest crowds when they fight to avoid relegation - and usually lose. ATB to ALTHs; hope we make a few quid out of pop concerts with inappropriately dressed young people; dinosaurs - always a family cert; electric cars going round and round; and pop-art for the social climbers. Candy floss on AIM has ever been a finger burner unless you are just in for a punt, and an education in herd mentality and this one is a classic. Looking forward to RNS postcard of next works to Japan: very Oriental but a lot of people live there according to our BB researchers and..........(deleted as inappropriate Ed)
Sounds like a lovely time was had by all. Hope we get some selfies soon.
I too take your point Simple: if this were the 250 or top 100 I would agree totally about profit but this is AIM: growing cos by definition, and the best indicator of future growth IMHO and therefore future profit is strong revenue growth necessarily often backed up with a fund raise or two which will attract much vitriol eg CEO's holiday fund from those looking for a quick buck, but will be supported by those who do their own research and are having a punt with cash they can afford to lose and have the patience to await a broker's note for what it is worth - and what does it prove anyway? - or a TU of past performance. To paraphrase JMK it is driving the car by looking through the rear window if you want figures. I prefer to let bygones be bygones (another JMK adage) and if Art, kPop, e-races et al all go to the wall with my money I have only myself to blame. ATB
PS: Meant to say that I too look forward to the coming week despite all the expected up we go oh no we don't I said it first DC doesn't no noffink erudite discussion. Could be first signs of springtime growth before a flourishing summer. I'll be here throughout....................
Too right sue5: my sentiments entirely. But I've come to the conclusion that to some a BB is akin to the rest of soshul mejia which I suspect they fill with their drivel also because it makes them feel important and a "voice". Very tedious but the price we pay for a few nuggets of sense for which I thank several rational contributors who always offer food for thought and often some interesting insight. ATB
Well said MB10: not only here but elsewhere too it would be so uplifting if ever one of the doom-laded trollsters ever had the round objects to come back, be counted and say "sorry, got that a bit wrong". Just never happens; probably why most of them live alone!
ATB and to ALTHs
Many thanks for those thoughts which I will pass on to Mrs M at tiffin. ATB
Mrs M not convinced by my answers this morning: so only 58% of shares on offer were taken up - a dilution nevertheless: and ITX now have £10m of hard earned cash in the kitty which is available to be spent on errrm exciting prospects to errrm do things to make a profit and push up the SP you say.
Hhmmm, pass the marmalade my sweetness; now where did I put my HL Password.
