Purely out of interest with reference to talks (I hesitate to call them "negotiations" given the background years) has anyone who has an interest in pharma/biotech companies anywhere ever seen any reference in a RNS or report or interview or rumour amongst mates in the City that "we are in talks about a novel development which would bring benefit to both companies"?

5 "if"s and 5 "could"s in a few sentences relating to a "novel insight". Not sure there are strong grounds to add to my leftover holdings from the initial test but might do so when the TR-1 falls showing someone other than a few punters and traders are persuaded that doubling the dose makes something happen. Some very interesting comparisons here with SNG. CEO enjoyed conferences; foreign travel; meets with the big boys; never had a "novel insight" - a scientific term so our resident scientist GG tells us - but certainly had a few visions, gave interviews, and took home a nice pay-packet. Generated a fund raise at 175p, before making progress to 1p on failed trial with promises of a replay. The rockets on the BB just never took off but a good time was had by all - except those who know their Hans Christian Anderson. But I'm sure this is different: the CEO really does have a wonderful new suit - similar to the ones worn by Tigga's erudite mates in the no (sic). ATBALTHs

Probably much the same reason as many LTHs W: a fascinating saga of a life-style company at work and a BB which often illustrates the desire of many to get rich. I've kept a few back from 10 years or so ago when P140 seemed to be a valuable find and continue to hold in anticipation of the latest "novel insight" retrieving the cost of the paper of the share certificate.

Chart shows two jutting orbs above a large bottom and the first real movement of its kind in a decade. So pleased I held on to a few. FOMO is a powerful emotion. GLALTHs.

Spot on Peter. And have to add that the choice of the term "novel insight" was so worthy of any of our present duplicitous politicians that I'm surprised they haven't added it to their vocabulary - but perhaps Tim has patiented the term! ATB

A fair assessment of the last 10 years or so loadsof: why change a winning formula which is working with the present generation of holders as it did with ours. One more "novel insight" will get the CEO to a lucrative retirement after handing over the rains (sic) to the manager of the P140 replay when the time is rite (sic) in the fullness of time going forward. Begging Bowl! CEO!s: they wouldn't recognise a begging bowl, or a breadline if they tripped over one. Ever seen a CEO of a failed AIM Co on a bike! They hive off and secure the funds of the gullible - it's called a "Fund Raise" to pursue exciting "novel insights". We all fall for it but make sure it's only once - and read H C Anderson: the one about the Emperor.

And well said too esduk. "Integrity" and "respect for shareholders" sadly lacking in many AIM CEOs in my experience. Also on many BBs, but, refreshingly, not here. MKA has therefore become for me an investment rather than a punt. Came in at 30p then wavered but held and then added at the lows thanks to the perspicacity and research shared by several contributors hereon to whom I am grateful. Bit of a mis-reading there Wiggy. Just a punter who wins or loses what I can well afford to lose. Never expected a pat on the back from this one and very unlikely to get one in the next decade. That, I gather from our resident Phd scientist is as long as it takes to prove something works. In this case it is twenty years already so the next decade should get the CEO to retirement : job done. Have to say it has been of interest and probably the longest running AIM saga so noteworthy and an object lesson: never take a tip from someone who works in the City - unless it's Tigger of course.
