Another day of buys. I have followed the debate re big seller and been grateful for replies; however, given the apparent balance of buys I would like to see a TR-1 as an assurance that MKA really is a sound investment rather than a punt. Are the sells being soaked up by a myriad of PIs? I understand that IIs have their no AIM no penny no midget limits but it still seems odd (to my simple mind) that no-one has hoovered up a large stake despite all the good news and an allegedly silly SP. Sad to see a ramp/deramp type debate encroach on the BB after days/weeks of enlightening discussion so trust that my question is worthy of consideration, and again, many thanks to those whose research and experience has educated an ageing punter. Loadsof: you take my point too seriously. However much I had in the kitty I wouldn't waste 4k of peanuts on monkeys hence my interest in the motive. Since I had no reply from said punter I, like you, presume someone had a spare 4k in petty cash, a list of AIM Cos and and a pin. Marginally better than handing it to Rachel from Complaints I suppose but hardly a shrewd investment decision. ATB

Arkham, you are certainly not alone! Wish I had taken the advice of my grandchildren at 11p (will I never learn) but give it another year or two and they will have their ice-creams hopefully. Unlike you I have not "averaged down" - a euphemism on AIM for throwing good money after bad in my experience - but trust you will find the BB of interest and enlightenment as I have throughout. ATB

If the punter who stumped up for 125000 at 13.56 today (time not SP so don't get excited GG and Tigga) reads this BB I, and I'm sure others, would appreciate a brief review of the reasoning. Was it the result of a "novel insight" for which the CEO of IMM is also renowned? Just asking. ATBALTHs

But it livened up the board and has provided experience of AIM to the next generation loadsof so don't be too harsh. I'm, like, devasta'ed cos it's like, it looked like so good annat, no wot I meen. We just like run out of patients but with a fund-raise in time for next year's Conference Season in warm climes and hard-earned salaries all-round. But, of course, I could be wrong - this time! ATB

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts on that. And I am all too experienced over the years of the "murkiness" of AIM! A very apt choice of words. Hopefully MKA will soon be amongst the big boys. ATB

My thoughts entirely b99. And a BO at what could be a very tempting price to some. Now would certainly be the time to strike if one had the cash and it could be petty cash to the big miners. Analogous to the big pharmas letting the little boys do the hard work then stepping in with offers that are difficult to refuse for many. I believe this has been raised some time ago in relation to Songwe/China/ Malawi mates. I look forward to any thoughts on the subject, and as always, with many thanks to those who keep the BB well informed and stiffen the resolve of us mere punters. I learn more each day. ATBALTHs

Characteristic AIM performance as ever: the better the news the greater the fall in the SP. Never ceased to amaze me over the years but many thanks to those attempting to give rational explanations on this BB. Looking forward to a return to the 30ps which is where the SP was when I first heard about a mine somewhere in deepest Africa which sounded interesting. Taken a much greater interest since additional punts at c 6p and learned many acronyms on the way but long since given up attempting to explain the reasons for my optimism to my financial controller. Despite my protestations the fall from c20p to c17p to her is a not good news. Some people just don't understand the vagaries of the market! ATBALTHs

Very many thanks span for the most erudite posting on this BB for many months: with a few exceptions to whom I am also grateful. Perked up at this bit of news from somewhere but with the thought regarding IMM that if it sounds to good to be true then it most certainly probably is. Another bit of news was that after 20 years of research a drug has been found to be useful: Lupozor is of about that vintage if not more ( my certificates are buried somewhere in the cellar after I emptied the bottom draw) so perhaps the "novel insight" indicates that both maturity and a double dose are efficacious like a good Claret, hence the recent excitement. Many thanks to all who contribute to inform. I am a simple man. Even were I to be a multi-£ financier with a holding in an hypothetical pharma company and were I to be told that there was a multi billion £ deal being discussed as reported by many on a BB I don't think I would sell for a few pence thereby reducing my chances of even greater £billions. But then I never understood finance, though I do have experience of AIM and the reliability thereof and I could quote several extremely deep and sublime "novel insights" by CEOs who now revel in retirement while the faithful PIs continue to grovel. However, I rest assured that Lanstead are selling in order to give humble PIs the opportunity to share in the £billion bonanza to come. ATBALTHs

Nolupus: welcome back. Sushi: "I am no chemist or expert". Nor me neether; and apart from GG, who claims to be a "scientist" , nor is anyone else on the BB. So as with all AIM pharmas we are in the hands of the CEOs and their publicity machines. I very much respect your view and your post which admirably reflects the situation in that for years now we have been hoping that a cure for Lupus had been found; sadly the trial proved that not to be the case. A not unusual result for many small pharmas as you rightly explain. We are now hoping that the declared "novel insight" is some sort of breakthrough. Sadly, we have no evidence of that whatsoever. We are told talks and negotiations are on-going but we have no evidence that that is a substantial fact. I would be delighted to hear that P140 delivers all your hopes but after all these years of "hope" you are right to be somewhat hesitant in advising against chucking good money in. I have "averaged down" which in my experience of AIM means chucking good money after bad but I regard it as my subscription to be allowed to contribute to the BB. So we now have a "novel insight" revealing a "unique and novel treatment" on a BB with mostly novel contributions. A sure remedy for success for a punt on AIM but I do agree that any "investment" on AIM would be and remains somewhat hazardous and certainly not for widows and orphans as my broker assured me with considerable (and profitable) experience many years ago when IMM was but a dream awaiting to come true. I agree: no CEO who has managed his life-style company for so long is stupid. It is an art! And requires no knowledge of science but a fair deal about human nature. FOMO is a powerful emotion and can last for years: long enough to get one to retirement. ATBALTHs
