Yeh the drop was a little unnecessary yesterday. Good to see we’re back in the same place again today though. It’s also good to see that Colin Patterson is throwing more money at us. He clearly thinks there’s some potential here.

It’s a shame there’s going to be a delay but if it were to mean that we take on 100% of the assets it is worth the wait.

As the sale process has already begun, it makes you wonder if the EUA will sell-off MT and then carry on with exploration in the area.

Obviously the resources within 5km of the flanks will be applied for by the licence holder, but the additional 20m oz is still currently up for grabs along. That along with Volchetundra would be a another excellent set of resources.

Very exciting times ahead because there’s still so many options: company sale, asset sale and then further licence applications or go it alone and apply for the additional licences.

No matter how small the rises, so long as it’s a consistent upwards trend that’s the main thing. It will aid bringing a steady rise in BMN’s share price.

I’m going to throw my 2 pence in here just because a few people called me a “de-ramper” just for saying the sudden rise to over 20p wasn't sustainable without further news.

I wouldn’t class myself as a de-damper because I’ve been invested here for a long time now, but, so far with the sp sitting at 16.75p and not above 20p, it’s looking like I was correct. So, if I am indeed a de-ramper, they’re not all wrong.

Oh and one more thing to add, I’ve already banked 4x my initial investment and still have a very nice holding, so being a “de-ramper” seems to be working very well indeed.

Hmm, interesting... I’m usually adverse to risk but the potential for gaining 100% is very appealing. Gold prices are at all time highs, mine capex is very low and so are operating costs. At full production these projects are going to be ridiculously profitable.

On the bright side, the only actual change for BMV at the moment is a slight delay. It’s purely just a case that SGL want some cash immediately, rather than paying out and then having to wait on a return.

The issue I can see is BMV having 45 days to present an offer, but there’s no mention of a deadline for third parties submitting an offer.

It’s tempting to top-up but I’m going to watch how this one pans out first. I’m just curious as to where would we get the money from to buy them out and whether or not it would come from the current funding partner.

I don’t know if I’d call 70p a ‘damp squid’. That’s near $2.5billion, after taxes and fees. At 25p more you’ve just added another billion dollars to the sale price too. It’s not pocket change we’re talking about here.

At least it stops them picking up shares on the cheap. Once a first dividend is provided I think we’ll start to see some institutions getting involved. Currently, for me AAU is in exactly the same place as BMN. Both fantastic profit making mining companies but they are in the position where new investors will be looking for regular returns on their investment, especially institutions. Luckily AAU has still been rising over the months. BMN’s share price is at absolute rock and I think it will likely stay low until they release a dividend.

30p is still a profit in the end of the day. The value of MT is just a matter of perspective and timing it would seem. Last year before the flanks people were saying ‘one day this will be worth 10p’. When we applied for the flanks in Sept and the share price went up to 1p people were saying ‘wow in a few years time this will get to 20p. When we announced we were open to offers in Oct, valuations of 20-30p we regularly being thrown about. Prior to suspension when EUA posted the 50p broker note on their website, a lot of 50p valuations in a takeover were discussed, the share price at the time was 7p. After suspension and we’re hovering between 15-20p there seems to be a much increased number of £1+ valuations going around.

The fact of the matter is, no one (apart from those involved) has a clue what this will go for. The value of MT hasn’t increased since the flanks were applied for last September. All that has changed is the valuations you see on here. As the share price increases, so does the end value that people seem to be expecting.

Truth be told, I’d be surprised if this went for 20p or less. I personally think it will land somewhere between 30-60p, depending on how many bidders there are and who is bidding. Even 30p is a good uplift though compared to today’s price. Yes £1+ is always possible but it would be a bit naive to presume it’s going to happen.

Plan for the worst and enjoy anything better.

The majority of companies it’s 07:00. EUA however, through the years have tended to do it absolutely anytime through the day, even a few out of hours RNS’s. There’s been no consistent trend.

I do have to agree with Calamari on this. The unknown future Pd prices are a big gamble for any potential purchaser. Analysts will spout out lots of different figures. Just look at lithium a few years back. Nearly every analyst on the planet was saying there was going to be a huge deficit in the coming years. That never came to fruitation. The same could very well happen with Pd.

Pd prices have been extremely low for many years, until about 12 months ago, meaning there was little need for research in to alternative. All Pd miners will be aware that combustion engines in cars are rapidly diminishing. Momentarily electric vehicles will take up the slack from the reduced number of combustion engines. However, with prices rising more research will be put into substituting its requirement. It’s why any potential buyer won’t just be basing prices on Pd’s current bullish trend and won’t just value EUA at anything ridiculous like 15m oz x $2200.

Yeh I just had a cheeky £5k top-up and got 11.66. It’s madness how low the share price is currently.

Mont, I said an “arbitrary” figure of 1p and 10x that upfront. Using your “5p” then, being extremely generous and saying that dividend would be paid in the first 12 months. You would still have to wait 10 years just to break even with what you are being offered now.

You have to remember, even at today’s price which is 3500-4000%, the BoD can’t just sell-up either to unlock that value. They either have to put up the for sale sign or wait x number of years to start receiving a dividend.

I don’t want to get my hopes up too much, but if positive news dropped tomorrow it would make me a very happy man. Another company I’m in AAU have just announced today that their biggest project of 1m oz au is actually much higher at 1.5m oz, so 50% more valuable than anticipated. If BMV confirm funding too it would just make my week!

They said early last year that they had already received interest from a number of parties regarding MT, which was why the Sinosteel agreement wasn’t activated.

Mining yourself will always be a lot more profitable in the long run, otherwise there wouldn’t be any reason to purchase an asset. The issue is the time it takes to get a return on your investment. The BoD have millions of shares here, but it will take them years to receive any financial game from it, unless a sale is made. Some would argue dividends, but using arbitrary figures, why hold for years receiving 1p per annum in a few years time when you could receive 10x that upfront.

I do agree they are predatory but Sirius was slightly different because the company was losing money. AAU are in production and making a profit. Tavsan coming online in 2 years will also significantly increase our financial position further. Even if we didn’t have the new partner, the chances of AAU letting Salinbas go on the cheap are quite slim.

On a different note, I’d said early last year that by the end of this year we’ll be pushing 10p. We’re definitely on the right track with everything that’s happening at the moment.

Just thinking about it, it’s probably because of the investor forum that it’s been released this morning. They wouldn’t have been able to discuss it without previously having updated the market on the figures. Just a bit gutted I’m going to miss it. Can anyone planning on watching it put some bullet points on here later?

Holy Sh*t, just read that RNS. Salinbas was a huge resource anyway, now it’s just increased by 50%!

I’ve always said they just keep throwing out excellent news, they’ve now done it again.

Balances, to answer you question, it appears the market just hasn’t taken notice of just how outstanding this is as a company, there’s just no other way of explaining it. Usually companies spike when they head into production and go up a few pence, this never even happened here. It’s just been a slow and steady climb over the years. If you look at the charts though, it’s been a steady consistent rise. There’s very few stocks on the market that are as low risk as this one at its current price. Obviously DYOR though.

It’s crazy how much difference a couple of weeks can make. I was just looking at the volumes of shares traded throughout the month. The day we came back on the market there was over 200m shares traded and 160m the following day. Yesterday it was down to just 10m. It will be interesting to see what happens when news drops of a sale, there will be some big old trades going through that day I imagine.

Couldn’t agree more. Even on the unlikely concept of no offers coming in, it’s a lot more profitable to mine MT ourselves, so within two years we would probably be pushing on 100p anyway, so very minimal risk compared to upside potential.

A few years back I always planned to hold out for the dividends here, now I just want the sale wrapped-up and to cash in.

It’s surprising how many people get stung by consolidations. People see a big rise and then there’s usually a mass of buying from people not knowing the sp was 1/10th of the value the previous day.
