RE: palladium $1400 plus !!!18 Jan 2019 08:27
Sumoskier, I think we're all in agreement there about why there's such limited reaction to our prospects. Most likely reason is simply that the market doesn't believe it, and proof, via financial results, will be required.
I'm not sure if the managed trades we're seeing would be linked to a possible future placing. I don't recall seeing similar activity before.
My theory, (just my opinion, may be wrong), for what's happening is that a large holder wants to exit (most likely BMR), and they are selling through a broker that has struck a deal with one or more market makers. All the trades we see going through in the day flagged 'single protected transaction' are buys, and at the end of the day those buys are tallied up and the MM replenish their stock from the broker who is handling the sale. That would account for the trades we're seeing, and why the MMs are in no hurry to move the bid because they know they have a supply of shares at a prearranged price and are making money from those.
e.g. take yesterdays trades:
* 6 trades across the flagged 'single protected transaction', total number 258,493 - These are normal buys on the market
* 16:37 Trade of 258,493 @ 2.5p - This would be the MM buying from the broker to replenish their stock
* 16:42 Trade of 258,493 @ 2.3p - This would be the holder selling to the broker to cover the trade
Look on all previous days this month where we've had matched trades and you see the same thing.
