Long DAX from 7188 for 20/30 points (while longer-term Dow and FTSE longs run). The DAX 15 minute chart told me to enter, along with the SPX, DJIA and FTSE looking positive on various timescales. However, the canaries are slightly off-colour - BNP and SocGen are slightly depressed.

For info, the canaries as I have been calling them (i.e. BNP Paribas and Société Générale) are in rude health after being close to falling off their perches this am.

Please let it be so.

Yeah, DAX be ludakris and when it pops it just don't stop.

Some of the patterns are stunning - from closing at 7400 on Friday, the DAX fell 200 points on Monday and 200 points today. It pretty mucg screeched to a halt on 7000. I agree with Mars that the u-turn on 1300 that was staged by the SPX was remarkable too.

DAX may pop - it has consolidated in the 7050 region and now tests the 10MA on the 15 min chart.

No real bounce to be seen. Indices now drifting.

I'm cautiously optimistic that the Dow is a long from the 12400 area. It looks like it might be gathering itself from the recent slide.

I checked the other channels - TiE had 12540 then 12460 for supports on Dow.

My canaries are down over 7% today.

No: bad news = good news, and vice versa.

I probably just sold the break-out, LOL. I took 20 points on my 4th Dow long of this afternoon.

Yep, things ain't going exactly to plan there. I am not too worried.

Consolidation on the 15 minute chart suggests that a 'pop' through 12550 would be enough to get Dow out of the woods (in the very short term).

correction: THERE has been...

I have been picking up longs on Dow for the last hour. Getting in at 12535-12538 and exiting for 15 or more points. I have done it 3 times with one contract at a time. I still have my FTSE long from earlier, which is now red and I shall try to hold on to the current Dow long as their has been quite good support around 12535 for over an hour and I think that the market will pick up a bit when the US opens in 15 mins.
