I think it's no smoke without fire though. These streaming services or studios like Disney must be eyeing these things up. Anyone with kids knows the value of a cinema. 2 hours of peace sleeping in a comfy chair while the kids are occupied.

For most retail investors, picking the winning stock from a bunch is a bit of a coin flip contest.

Too many stocks is a bad thing, but if I want to add a new stock to get into some new area I'll place a number of small bets on companies I like the look of and roll the losers when they become obvious into the winners. The winners tend to keep on winning.

There is no date for IPO yet. The best we had was 'early 2021', so March is a good guess.

The update given today had alot of figures in it, and it did not move the price here too much. A successful IPO may already be mostly priced in to VOD SP.

If it launches high above it's top estimate of €20bn market cap then there may be an extra pop here. If it shoots up in the days after IPO it may also push the price up here. It can go down of course.

The figures look pretty unispiring to me. They mention EBITDAaL which is Earnings before Interest Tax Depreciation Ammortisation and 'special losses'. I would like to know what the special losses are. Listing costs maybe?

If free cash flow is an indication of net profits, they are gunning for a PE in the 60's. Bit rich for my tastes for an unregulated utility.

My price target is £15 within 3 years.

Lower prices on VOD however make you wonder if it's a trend down. Bifuraction of the markets is in play. The strong will get stonger, even if the great market crash does come. I don't think VOD is on the right side of the K, long term.
