OMR - many of the MMs have trading desks which do take longer term positions in stocks. This is why when you see peeps saying "oh there's more sells than buys", it may be a MM taking a position.

It would be interesting to know when exactly they received the fully executed arretes. This would tell us whether they had been holding back news or not. Perhaps someone could ask BA this weekend.
