I hesitate to say this but MP did not in fact "get deals" in the form of long term company-makers.His success was his popularity with shareholders,in getting II's on board-yes there was a turnover there, and above all he was good at exploration and getting rich new finds. He was good at speeches at conferences having the rare magic touch.I still rate him higher than any other AIM office holder. The problem has been that no-one grasped the nettle when AFE had quite high SP's up to 17p when they were in a stronger position. Also most of the side projects were handed away virtually for nothing or for very long term royalties.Perhaps that is just history though ? NC has in fact made two big deals in his experience outside here. The magic touch must come from all of the parties involved. They certainly have acted as if there's something in the pipeline and appear a good team. Why did EW withdraw his claim which might have resulted in liquidation at one point ? The money from the Coburg deal wasn't spent on any new project,it was used in life support to get them to here. Why ? Surely we will find out within the extra month the £300,000 raised mostly from II's will have bought...GL
