we are coming up to the next possible taper on 19th March,until then we are at the mercy of unpredictable events in Crimea,which should have been solved by now but a stalemate so far.Food has been blocked into bases there by "soldiers" which sets a timelimit unless they see sense..predictions pointless therefore forget 17p-for now..GL DYOR

sells today after a good rise with no news.The charts show a drop in MACD to just below zero over the last 2 days,while the relative strength is a more oversold 33%.

re targeting 17.5p by end of this week lol.Re my Thu post "a rest is a good thing"-OMI took off some pressure by falling back a few days.GL

always luckier with some shares OMI being one,while others were the pits.Made some slices over a year ago at about 40p here before it collapsed.OMI is still hopefully to be my main moneymaker and offset losses still with KGI and HOC.Citi' today hit HOC unfairly of course.Also today got a bit of the bio AGY- worth a look- was tipped in IC last week- report is (c). but type in "Investors Chronicle AGY" GL DYOR

yes IC said the big flotation soon not sure of name would help interest in bios as in the US.

Just look at AVM which I nearly sold at about minus 15% and now is plus 25%.I'm puzzled about PGD and MIRL not firing up as both are good companies.Anyway my best ever figures there,but nothing ever is decided in March.There is a narrowing for potentially 2nd place so everything is to play for and 9 months to do it in, after all a baby takes that time lol.Good luck to all your babies ! with AIM yes all is unpredictable.AFE could equally have been in the money on reaching 17.75p back then lol.But in late 2010 a sudden change happened,the main markets had been recovering since March 2009 but commodities were fated to drop while main markets fuelled by QE went on and are still managing to do so somehow now that tapering is happening lol.There wasn't any Fed. handout for miners of course.In fact QE may have helped destroy many miners as it offered a supported market elsewhere the speculators could cash in on.Mining-even BLT suffered foir years. Nickel had been over $12/lb. in the end of 2010 but fell to about $6/lb. for the next few years.And supply rose.Several large nickel mines had been opened up,some of these had to be moth-balled and still are.All the maths from AFE's PFS figures was destroyed.A BFS was postponed.Unfortunately the old board had £millions raised by placings and even a rights issue which didn't go fully.A lot of the loss in value would have happened anyway if they'd just sat in Dutwa.But trying to develop it in a bear market misfired.Just the old problem of timing.In another universe it might have worked.Personally I just write off large losses and roll them forward towards future hopeful CG's offset against the annual £11k of CG relief.There has been a partial gold recovery but who knows ? Sometime whoever has the licence rights to Dutwa will do well but money -a lot -will be needed.The Chinese maybe ? GL DYOR

OMI is often a funny share,can go down or be stuck a while then shoot up.A rest here is good.Makes rising less worrying if it does that a bit.From my list which was set up just to look at generally I see I've not covered a few-AAZ,GDP,AVM they missed a debt repayment in Jan,RRS too See that BTFATH1 in POG got Evraz today .Sorry never enough time to do all those.And AGQ managed down 6% today after being one of the best risers.GL

Note KAZ was up 39% lol.Well after several years of mostly getting it all wrong in RRR,ATC,AFE etc and yes AGQ,I had to be right at least once lol!

yes scrap theses targets for now.The GP needs upped a bit before we can resume hopefully our progress.OMI has done well to be below slightly doubling over several months and has been one of the best gold/silver miner risers recently.Most shere might have profits,while those who have left can't be unhappy either.So few can complain.The kety factor is that gold production cost is below 800..GL DYOR

AGQ the fastest silver riser lol

purely my views probably wrong-AUE-not a producer.Ignoring that.no therefore...AGQ -know very well been in 4 times- with profits 3 times not the 4th time a bad one lol.The SEDA also puts me off.Though almost the recent fastest gold riser.Their ball mill might provide a boost when put into action soon.Once that was my favourite company not now..OXS-no production it seems but court cases/fraud actions etc No. AMA- nothing to scare the horses so far. HGM-I'd like to know more,seems a quite active company a lot going on. SHG-Costs now $1049 bit high but appears quite an interesting co. and good charts. FRES-a dependable co. with better silver grades coming up,good RNS today.

VGM- costs are quite high then ? PGD the SP is stuck suggesting little interest,again my only hard news on that apart from their website news was breac's excellent post over there on LSE.Solidly rising ones a pity they have debts like POG,ABG...FRES hasn't moved much.Neither has MML despite low costs.Better movements from SHG- might be one to go for ?. HGM isn't ISAable is it ? POLY and CEY I avoid possible country risks ? Overall OMI seems the best of the bunch that's why I got a bit more yesterday.There's MIRL too worth watching.OXS,AMA and AGQ not for me at least.Yes this is a mixture of not enough research and impressions but there you are. In any rise in gold there may end up a race to the bottom which happened in 2010-getting poorer shares while the better ones become more expensive,I'm determined not to fall into that trap so my choices will be from only a few including some of the ones above.GL DYOR

no I post at POG but not in it now! I've KGI well dowm,HOC a bit down and OMI my cash cow -hopefully- in at the bottom.I'm in a mostly silver fund too..
