I think despite your undoubted ability not to make any mistakes(unlike me ), and to pick good shares,you have maybe been out of dealing in real money for too long.A year or over ? After that time you are used more to the innocent delights of painlessly losing or gaining virtual money in the VPF's.Real deals are far more serious.Was watching the interview yesterday with Steven Hester of RBS.Not a lot of joy coming there,we won't get our money back for a long time if ever.He admitted part of RBS is a bad bank,we knew that of course.Very bad.Would he be staying on ? He hoped he might.

my present small slices in XEL,AFF and SQZ are meant just to get better than the pittance from a bank,and can be stopped anytime-though I hope to get the capital back at least within a year,surely I can manage that ? If I can't I'm in the wrong game lol.

Sorry Jibbo didn't know you were there.MXP is not ISAable just for interest.There appears an explosion in oils and any Iran hoo-haas not that we would want that can only aid that.A large extending watchlist I who had no oils for 1.5 years now have.Anyone else care to add any ? KMR is a good buy for you,again wish I'd stayed there,mind you no idea what happens to that e10m court case appeal though they were tipped to win it..e=euros..there's also the RIO T/O rumour.

Sorry about your mailbox-have you investigated professional secure mailboxes ? Might be worth it for peace of mind.They'll go somewhere else once bored.My share-picking for the last year has been disastrous-either timing or choice is wrong,though sometimes get one of these right.JT is better-he can pick them.Spread betting would finish me,at least with shares I get not to lose my stake.Shares are very risky-imagine the very common "safe" pick a few years ago of BP,RBS and Northern Rock lol.That's why many previous shareholders are now "hiding" in poor bank accounts,they have been scared off.

I made a good profit daytrading XEL last week but got in again now a loss lol! Confident XEL will climb despite Stocks' charts-the rig hasn't left yet,wait till drilling it is a known field unlike CNE in Greenland sorry for that lol..I don't profess to be good at this game,in fact I think you have the correct mixture of good share selection and prudence.

Terry here got TSCO with the CNE money...RRR hardly anyone understands AB's mind-his PF is unbelievable that anyone could control it but he seems to.Yes RRR is more speculative than I thought,I hoped AGQ/RRR would by now be set up with production,but it's a lot slower than that.Greenland is quite long term.Kenya mired in court actions,yes Juipiter is v. good but might need to sell those shares sometime for more cash.I regard it now as a 5 year process.

I've forgotten- sorry,but if you search back for a post of mine here about it,there is also a T/O situation with KMR...I've never understood your liking for RRR,I'm probably trapped there for years as the resident trolls tell me often lol.Though confident it will come up.I admire your ability for not making the mistakes I made earlier in my investment career-averaging down was one of many.I am still here though so I must have managed to paper over some of the cracks from then lol.Or maybe these days being less demanding of great performances.You see that when I'm happy with my VPF though I'm 4th yet.I genuinely think it has done all I hoped for,I chose safer shares this time,a look at my last years' VPF still shows it is far worse even now.Only AV. and AQP are up,EMG,RRR,AFE,ATC are awful while FRES is still doing quite well.Luckily I dropped that.Yes we are getting Donkee as our mascot for AGQ's successes,while your AMER I'd never heard of but is great-a possible one for you ? While I always said I regretted selling KMR though I had to get cash to get back into AGQ.Stock' on AGQ is good at advising me on charts if you look there.Not sure if he/she uses news though,I only use charts to back-test really.

no it was me,I sold here a day after getting in, to fund getting XEL,but later decided to return here with other money after Myst said why this is a v. good share-and it is.Yes my 2nd entry here was above my first too though got a profit,it is the silly gifts to MM's I grudge.

Shares mag. today again saying IMT is liable for a T/O by either Japan Tobacco or BATS.A good windfall would be welcome in my VPF!

I made mine 5.8% anyway more for next time,very happy with growth each week these days! BGC my top one.Did u invest in R/L ? That's where it can be a bit more painful than the VPF lol.
