Ever since 2007 and Medoil's first request for a permit to drill Masseria La Rocca, the Italian authorities have tried to stop the process. At each stage, Rockhopper has appealed - and won.
This is the latest win.
There is another case pending with Lazio Regional Court due to the ban of December 2018.

The maths just don't work though do they?
To get to 1.6m shares over 8 years is 200k shares a year. That's an average purchase price throughout the period of 30p
Absolutely impossible from 2011-20 and with "only" around £60k per year in the last 4 years there is no way you could have made up the shortfall.

No farmout partner is going to insist on a drill in Argos acreage before Sealion. Its just a pointless exercise that would achieve little. If oil was found, more drills would be necessary but if no oil was found then money would be wasted.
Argos is doomed - just as cyan says

Absolutely no chance any of Rhea or any other Argos target will be drilled before Sealion. Just wishful thinking.
Maybe after but then the license will be out of date so Argos won't be a factor.
