I'm happy to say these have just hit a major reverse-trend indicator. I'm REALLY fricking close to selling the bloody things. Research would indicate that whenever I sell a share at a loss, it's at an historical low and you should expect a strong bounce, and even a rally, very shortly afterwards.
Hold on!!!!
It's very possible that DW was asked to leave as a condition of someone leading the latest placing. If the lead organiser believed that DW's reputation would have hindered the uptake of the new shares they may have requested it.
Either way, this is pretty much all-or-nothing now. The belief in this share is so minimal that if in March they said "sorry - no oil here either", it could be pretty terminal.
Pity - but there we are - you pays your money, etc.
Good luck all. I think we may need it.
mate - trust me - try to get out of your head the figure that you would have had without the market crash. That way madness lies!
And also, when you sell out of any share, don't look at it again! it'll drive you crazy!
good luck
...and good luck to you Warpig - but, fyi, the comparison you stated about "other precious metals...around the £30 mark". Is pointless. Please get that out of your head. I'm not sure what you're referring to, but that has no relevance here.
good luck though...we are all hoping for great things here.
Not sure of the rules now, but any investor used to have to out out a statement when they had gone above 3% and then every percentage integer they increased, or decreased, from then. So if they had 4% and went to 4.5%, they don't have to out out an RNS, but if they went from 4.97% to 5.04% they would.
That was how it used to work...
Yes a reputable II indeed. But that II wouldn't have paid anything like 30p. The MM would have approached them, and said "I've got 25m of these things to go - what would you pay for them?" and the II would have said something like "I'm not paying over 18p" or something...so the whole 2-way trade would have gone through at lower levels, which reduces anyone else's appetites to pay 30p, so the price drops off a little until they can find more buyers at the "new" level...
@ Tradetime; I don't think you really understand what MM's do. They set prices between them. It's more likely to be that most of the MM's that make a market in this share believe that , if these were 30p 2 days ago, and then an investor with a very close relationship with the BoD decides to sell millions of shares, to me it says 2 things...
1) that guy doesn't really believe these are going to be taken out at the crazy high prices some people have been talking about, and...
2) that he doesn't believe any news is imminent - due to inside trading rules.
So, if these shares were worth 30p 2 days ago, after that guy's sale it's possible that these things are worth closer to 25p today. It's not manipulation - it's their job to set prices based on what they see in the market place. What would you do if you were an MM and a guy close to the BoD suddenly sold millions of shares? Mark them up?
I was a Market Maker back then and had been on the stock market floor in 1986 (standing around those hexagons if anyone remembers those), but after big bang we moved up to the offices.
I only had a small book, as I was only freshly past my Registered Reps exam, and "only" lost £250,000 on that day. Which was considered a win!
Great times!!
I'd recommend reading the pdf to everyone interested in this stock - pretty convincing argument re the new Turkish plays.
This could take a few years to prove, but certainly adds another string to the bow. And no nimby councils this time!
You didn't mention MM's that's true. This is a bit convoluted now (not to mention immaterial), but AB did mention MM's, said they wouldn't remove posts and Monkey told him not to be naive...so MM's were mentioned, but, as you said, not by you.
Anyhoo - GLA!
You may not agree with Brexit - but the majority of the country wanted it - and most of us aren't particularly scared about a No Deal. The EU were always going to try to stick it to us to try to make us regret our decision. That was obvious.
Bring on No Deal. Or a Deal . Either way let's just get this done!
