Just flashed up on HL now. 1p has broken - thanks to all those who advised I jumped in at 0.85 looking at a nice bit of profit. Top slicing at 100% up and then leaving the rest to collect the dividends!

That's what I've done. Got my first buy in now. Will see what happens towards the close. Lots of positive advice and the trade is already positive so happy for the moment.

Almost bought in this morning, but placed a limit order instead. Gutting to see it this high.

Waiting for the classic drop into the close and will try and get in late on now. The company has the right investors and has something on the table for a good recovery. Well done all that got in this morning.

It is secured now. Anyone investing in Gold through the tally will be able to recover 99% of their holding through this security. Therefore anything they do from here on in is recoverable.

Obviously what they actually want to do is generate a load of money and drive the platform. We are here for the ride now the gold is secure.

Just changing the filter. Zuuse seems to be kicking off down under. GGP has fallen as someone is playing a game with it. Once they start pulling the gold (and other metals) from the ground then boom. Stuff this side of the equator is ticking along nicely. Engage has gone quiet but they are launching globally so I guess once that happens then it'll have a massive impact.

Yes I agree. The market for longer duration storage is emerging however the majority of new markets seek ancillary services first so the short term demand will favour li-ion. Once a stationary storage market has been established through frequency regulation, etc. then renewable generation increases typically follow requiring the need for capacity shifting. Exactly where VRFBs (NOT MACHINES) can really begin to come into their own. The biggest factor is the influence of the steel industry. The Vanadium price spike in 2018 really hit the sector hard.

Not as far as I'm aware, might have a holding but doesn't have an influence.

As a research analyst for energy storage, the cost comparisons are quite difficult.
Whilst li-ion batteries are cheaper than flow from the power perspective, as soon as you increase capacity 3-4 hours and above this is where flow batteries become competitive. They biggest problem is production at scale. Flow batteries simply don't have the capability of production that li-ion does. Therefore if demand becomes competitive, prices increase.
Around the 8-hour mark flow batteries are much cheaper than li-ion as the chemistry simply doesn't allow for this duration (not that it isn't possible, it's just expensive).

I thought the class action was against MW not BUR as technically speaking BUR have done nothing wrong in this situation and have been manipulated through the short attack.

Let me run this past you again...

From a £100k holding post deal it will be worth £101k thus yielding 1% growth without doing anything. then you add on a compound dividend of circa 6% which is marginally lower than the GFRD dividend by still only at a small decrease.
Assuming you bought the shares for long term growth and you believe the company is heading in the direction the logical move would be to stay here take the deal and then sell the GFRD if you truly believe the construction side is worthless but the BOVIS side is where the money is.

I don't quite understand why you would take the loss here especially considering the economic situation. Housebuilders and construction companies both will do well should brexit be stopped so either play is dependant on the run up to December.

RedT's involvement in the Oxford hub is a joke. Pivot Power have been all talk about the possibility of 50 MW projects linked with EV charging.

They have been slow playing this one for some time. There have been (getting close to) a hundred +50 MW projects deployed around the world - nothing stopping them buying Chinese battery modules and deploying a unit instead of talking about it for the past 2 years at least.

I'm not sure how/why you believe this to have a negative impact. The sale means we receive £1.1bn in assets including £300m in capital and increasing the holding in Bovis to 29.3%.

Seems to me that if the Brexit situation resolves itself and Bovis rallies much like Barratt did then that portion is going to be very profitable.

Interesting how the spread has tightened here as well as a lot small tick up on the bid.
