China's peace plan raises concerns in the US and Europe, Bloomberg writes.
While Beijing has not yet released details of the peace plan, which was previously announced by Wang Yi, head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, European officials familiar with the plan who wished to remain unnamed said it was expected to include calls for an immediate cease-fire and an end to arms supplies to Ukraine.
The US and Europe expect China to propose its plan on the anniversary of the Russian invasion, 24 February, "to compete with a resolution backed by Ukraine supporters demanding that Russia withdraw troops and cease hostilities".
"While China's plan has little chance of success, US allies are concerned that the proposal could resonate in the global South and potentially attract votes at the UN," Bloomberg writes.
Zelensky will meet Biden in Poland soon if nothing "extraordinary" happens, the Polish newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna has said.
According to its sources, Zielenski may present his peace plan at this meeting and then at a UN forum.
Poland is not commenting on the matter for security reasons.
Zielenski earlier said that he had not received an invitation to Poland for a meeting with Biden.
Biden is due to arrive in Poland on the 20th of February.

How about this is all to do with NATO expansion and regime change, to protect western hegomony?
Three former heads of state ( Israeli, German and French), have all said the same thing. Minsk agreements were all a ploy to buy time and arm Ukraine to take the Donbas. The agreements were to allow Russian speaking Ukrainians a right to speak in their own language and some autonomy within the the boundaries of Ukraine.
Further more Israeli Prime minister and Turkish diplomats both say, America prevented a peace agreement just before the war started and pulled the plug on the peace deal in MARCH at the beginning of the war, despite Ukrainian willingness to sign.
It is also quite clear, that the US plotted blowing up the Nord stream pipelines before the war was even started. See Seymour Hersches excellent article. None of the high level planners he names have denied the accusation. In fact, Biden and recently Victoria Nulan have bosted about stopping it's flow and gloated over it's destruction.
So I say this tragic war could have been prevented. And pumping weapons in Ukraine will just prolong the suffering and bring the world on the brink of nuclear disaster.
It's more than hope. A deal is there, waiting to be announced.
We are a year into the war and at peak sanctions. So if the deal were to have failed, it would already have done so. There is light at the end of the tunnel, hence the turds turning up daily refusing to be flushed down the toilet.
Hopefully the next few RNS's will flush them away.
It was obvious at the time who blew up the pipelines.
I would also add that sanctions have not turned out the way the west expected and won't block EUAs asset sale:
West's anti-Russian sanctions have failed spectacularly - Focus
??The anti-Russian sanctions have failed miserably because they failed to break the Russian economy and leave it without income," German publication Focus writes.
?? According to the IMF, Russia's economy will grow faster than even Germany's in the near future, and Russian raw materials will still reach Western buyers, and Western goods will still reach Russian consumers.
??Immediately after the start of the special operation,Russian financial system was disconnected from the international payment system SWIFT, but it did not collapse due to the current account surplus, which occurs when exports exceed imports. Moreover, according to the IMF, Russia's economy will grow rather rapidly in 2024.
??and these conditions only support the Russian economy, which is almost unaffected by the effects of the imposed restrictions," concludes Focus.
