Was a funny day today. Closing flat for last few days. Think some went chasing rainbows elsewhere. Does not work every time though. Oh well, looking forward to the resource upgrade soon.

Just a very interesting thought came to mind. What if Newmont, BHP, AngloGold, or Newcrest, anyone of them want to JV into Calidus next year. They can simply buy out KRS 48% holing in CAI.

Kev, I know CAI closing price was 4c (current resource 41k oz) Where will CAI be valued if 'Resource' in 3 months has increased to 1.5m gold oz ? given high grades in RNS today & extended land package Calidus is currently working through at speed.

BTW, If you think CAI share price will not reach 12p - 15p......think again. Q1 2018 shaping up to be whole new ball game here. watch this space closely. Best wishes.

Just a rough fag packet calc for SPECIAL DIVIDEND would be around: 2.56p / share CAI Avg price = 12c - 15c KRS holdingin CAI = 742m Fx rate = 1.73 KRS shares = 2.26 Bn NOTE: CAI share price and FX rate are the 2 variables here. Just for illustration.

Personally, got NO issue either way: TD Direct deal with ASX. worst case might have to open an A/c with them to hold CAI shares. But think wider agreement would be for SPECIAL DIVIDEND.

I got holdings in both ISA and SIPP. Looking forward to Dec / Jan action.

But if CALIDUS is Taken Over by one of the majors, then KRS management would hold out for best price. Get KRS shareholders to approve Calidus TAKEOVER. Then distribute CASH from sale proceeds to shareholders. Lot of scenarios can kick in before that, given the speed with which they are driving things forward. Bidding war at some point next year would be nice too :-)

In my view Market makers will let this go as soon as we get the RESOURCE UPDATE (due early Dec) as that would trigger chain of events with multiple re-rates kicking in. (1) Substantial increase in JORC resource to INDICATED category (410k oz since July/Aug) (2) KRS holding in Calidus more than doubles to 467.25m (current 217.25m) (3) Accelerated Drilling from end of this week till end of Dec. Point (3) above would further ADD substantial Gold ounces to the Mineral Resource. Key is low and early entry ahead of those price catalysts, starting potentially next week. In my books this is: BUY or ACCUMULATE.

Chesh, As far as I can see, entitlement to Calidus shares on ASX via your KRS holding works same way as the Ex-dividend and cum-Dividend entitlements. KRS management might provide advance notice of a 'RECORD' date. Anyone on KRS shareholders register on RECORD date will qualify for the FREE Calidus shares OR one-off SPECIAL DIVIDEND. KRS can do it in 2 ways: (1) Calidus SHARES: Distribute FREE Calidus shares to KRS shareholders as per their Pro-rata % holdings Vs Total KRS shares. Shareholders can then decide if they want to keep them for long term OR sell them on ASX via broker, e.g. I would want to hold out for TAKEOVER. or (2) SPECIAL DIVIDEND: KRS management dispose of Calidus shares and then distribute CASH to KRS shareholders as a one-off Special Dividend.

smidsy, There have been so many Buys showing as Sells today that it's just CRIMINAL. MM's need to be referred to the SFO (serious fraud office) for share manipulation of the highest order today. BUYs have outweighed Sells by miles....yet MM's have not moved the price an inch. While at PYC they been increasing spread with every single trade that goes through as if it was all Pre-planned. All MM's are thugs and criminals in my opinion.

Sweet, Agree. This is the ideal Gold deposit that starts near surface & goes may be up to 1-2 km (TBC) with drilling of the deeper zones. ALL Gold majors love this kind of rich, High grade deposits. Gold majors would soon have Calidus on their watchlist. They all love solid, conventional, near surface, low cost, bulk tonnage, Open pit Gold deposits. All gold majors looking to replace their depleted gold ounces. Telfer gold mine goes out next year for Open pit ops. So Newcrest looks to be in urgent need to get their hands on Multi-million oz deposit amongst others below: * Newmont * AngloGold * Newcrest * BHP * Barrick Gold Calidus has not even got in to the deeper high grade zones / targets yet. Price in 3-6 months could easily be Multiples of 4c
