If Gold price gets to $1500/oz then Uruguay Gold mine is back on and for the same 30,000 oz, they would add $1.5m profit annually.

At $1600/0z it would ADD $4.5m profit

At $1700/oz another $7.5m profit.

Keeping production number constant at 30,000 oz and AISC cost constant at $1450/oz respectively.

If unit costs go down AND production increases, then ($)Profit /oz goes even higher.

NEWMONT can simply carry on with drilling ANZA and adding value to our resource.

Newmont bought 19.9% in Continental Gold in May 2017 with a 12 month lock in period. Newmont is still there, in fact 'Buritica' gold mine goes into production in 2020.

I constantly re-evaluate my own stock portfolio based on new info available without getting emotionally involved in just one stock and having nothing to fall back on. If you got spare cash, then defo good return from current low MCap at OMI. Just tired of hearing just MMI sampling, and rock chip samples. Proper drilling and proving up a resource takes hell of a long time before attracting other companies. IMO. BTW 12 years is most likely a distraction...Newmont been buying up Colombia Gold deposits big time as it's on the same highly rich Andean Cordillera belt that runs through Equador, Peru and Colombia. They going to dig it up way earlier than that soon after they Take Over OMI to replace their declining gold production. Newmont already operate biggest gold mine in Peru...yanacocha. They think Colombia is the new Peru. Also Colombia in 19th century was worlds biggest gold producer....I did not know that. Imho, Dyor. Best wishes all.

Italy is facing a possible credit rating downgrade that could roil markets once again:

The rating review from Moody's is seen as a critical market test for the Italian government, and it could potentially roil markets in Europe if a downgrade is announced.

Stephen Beetham, First of all my respects for your nice holding here. You seem to be a decent guy. But don't you think, you little overexposed here? At the end of day, it's your money, your decision. If I had £2m to invest, I would spread across few Gold stocks if you wanted exposure. OMI is defo worth a look at these prices and the one to move up much faster with only 100m shares in free Float....as long as you do not buy Out the whole lot....and leave nothing for the rest of us ;-)) Only my opinion.
