George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
DBW. Assume you are referring to “ SolGold is a leading exploration company
focused on the discovery and definition of
worldclass copper and gold deposits”. I also noticed this.
Especially 118m @ 1.13% CuEq from 12m (great for open pit)
Agree DBW was about to post exactly the same. Phenomenal result
Orthen, yes has been in the job 2 days. It is likely he has a significant understanding of things by now. I presume he would have been shown/given access to some of the data. So I agree with SM - to hit the ground running. It is not like he has been officially working for 6 months.
Would have been good to see Daryl comment on the RNS - usually someone will add some narrative to it.
DBW - apologies you are correct.
There is still a lack of positive news and IMO it is still being held. They have given a teaser of RIO- but not assays of bottom of hole 1. Again a teaser for hole 2. The RNS about the tie up with government was already in the public domain.
They are lining up to release very soon pre AGM IMO.
Why have they not released any on Sharug, Porvenir? Sharug cannot be a duster due to fact they have 6 rigs. Solg would not put this number of rigs on if hole 1,2 showed nothing- too much else going on on other sites to tie up these rigs.
I believe they are waiting for Daryl to start to us sue this news. The momentum will start - it is just a case of when and what the catalyst will be. Keep the faith folks - the signs are there.
RK1 - you could also vote against LT - he is driving the decisions not to put board up for re-election. My powder is dry. Like CD - unless they pull something out the bag I am voting against LT and BM
Add agree - the "upside options under review include earlier underground access, mine and mill optimisations, extending Cascabel Resources, hydroelectric power"
Underground access - they have had a year to look at - which was one of the main drivers of the revised PFS earlier this year
Extending resources. Aginuaga and T.A. have been known entities for some time
Hydroelectric power has been touted about in early presentations.
With the clear holding back of news - for what ever reasons - The board do not seem capable.
It doesn't add up - perhaps they wish to reduce the PIs of the shareholder register in favour of IIs? Collectively we have the swing votes...
First time I have seen NM on shareholder register like this. With 12%. Is this a flex of muscles to BHP et al? usually positioned as DGR / Tenstar etc.
CGP are 12.5% partners on Sunstone. Perhaps the reason why Sangha was buying and nothing to do with Solg.
Hopefully Solg’s assays can trump these. If nothing special we need to entice Malcolm Norris back.
Which is a good reason why Solgold need to get their finger out pronto.
the long touted “first mover advantage” is wearing thin. Others are catching up……and fast.

And he left Orica on 1st April 2021

SO what has been the holdup in getting him on board?
Taking an MD and CEO role in Solgold would be a big enough commitment yet he has taken another non exec.
Seems strange to me.
Red - in general I have found the MD&A to lack any "new" material updates. IMO they tend to be more for compliance rather than news - although still worth a read.
Anyone know what the procedure would be if LT does not get voted back in? This is a very likely probability as he is seen to be driving CG decisions which the major shareholders do not like.
Assume the board will have an "independent" step into the role?
RK- you rubbished me many months ago by stating that NM runs the show. Now appears that the penny has dropped.
He may not directly run it but pulls the strings for sure.
Does the lack of CEO process seem like the lack of translation from Cornerstone bid. Whilst the company pays lip service to CG etc. Nothing has moved on.
We could find ourselves in a position if the current directors fail to get re-elected then NM could once again become CEO. He would have a year at least….
Nick is still pulling the strings and BHP don't like it. As Red states the only two likely to not get re-elected are NM and BM...
Sure as hell is evidence that Solgold and BHP are not as friendly as portrayed earlier in the year. Also clear that no “background deals” are being done with BHP.
