At the risk of being a negative nelly.. there was previously a big driver to have CEO in Ecuador although I note that Scott didn't exactly fill this role. This was considered important at the time.

I don’t think it is a case of not taking the franco tranche. I believe we have not progressed fast enough hence why Scott was removed. And Dan has made public comments of accelerating.

The first deal was a royalty deal - this is a streaming deal. I understood from Fawzi some time back that majors are more accepting of streaming deals over royalty. Indeed he mentioned that some of the majors also set up streaming deals themselves when constructing mines. This may be the reason why BHP have said nothing.
