I think that is fair comment , we know very little about the nuts and bolts of this first transaction that is now underway.
Ideally , if this transaction is successful it will serve as a template for further business.
We need SYME to be slicker and quicker to bring the kind of volumes we need to make any significant revenues , still early days though.

Not the great leap forward that some people were predicting in terms of sp but that doesn't surprise me. I have said it enough times it is not the IM itself , it is how it works and how well received it is and how many more will follow and how quickly.
Still a positive step though , a long way to go but Rome wasn't built in a day!

will be in the functionality and appeal of the platform , first IM in and of itself is not the be all and end all , we need the punters to come for this in their droves. Not saying it won't happen but it's a big ask.

Well I don't want to get into it Too deeply as we are after all just characters on a BB and it probably isn't warranted but I believe that arch bishop Tutu once said that there are some "crimes so terrible that they really shouldn't be forgiven." or words to that effect.
My concern would always be with the victim , the victim's family and potential future victims , tough love is the best love.

I never converse with Rosie or Castle , if indeed they are two people (i don't know and i don't care) but they must be laughing their heads of this evening , they have managed to dominate the board yet again pretty much for the whole day , a feat they could not achieve if it wasn't for the clucking hens that constantly engage with them.
Quite apart from the IM , i think we might wonder at the IQ of some of the posters.
My humble opinion.

Good Morning one and all!
If SYME finally manages to get First IM done and same is confirmed via RNS sometime soon then there will be cause to celebrate and quite rightly too , up to a point.
BUT...
SYME will have to make their platform very attractive and user friendly to both clients and funders , it will need to run like a well oiled machine , as smooth and slippery as a bag of eels!
While first IM getting done will be a great relief to all of us it will in no way be a case of "job done"
Just think of the volume of business that SYME needs generate to make any meaningful revenue , SYMES cut of the cake is likely to be a somewhat slender slice so it will have to be SOME CAKE!
Remember SYME have no money of their own they are simply providing a platform and the PROOF OF THE PUDDING WILL BE IN THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THAT PLATFORM. One could almost argue that they have taken So long to get the first one done that it doesn't bode well for that ease of use but that may be a little premature.
We already know that there is a potential demand for what SYME offer but it remains to be seen whether or not SYME can tap into that demand.
Not de-ramping , not doing down , not a nay sayer just trying to inject a note of realism.
SYME still very much a long shot in my humble opinion but I will be holding on to my betting slip and seeing it through to final furlong , be it good or bad.

It is not exactly crystal clear is it?
I would say they were talking about internal approval if anything.
I was just making the point that i am not particularly expecting an RNS tomorrow on the strength of that RNS ,
that is not to say that there won't be one of course.
Should get something soon one way or another.

Some people seem to have convinced themselves RNS is coming tomorrow but the RNS of the 29th just said something like "with reference to the client company this is planned for next week"
or words to that effect.
So that's a maybe then.

You are right Peak in so far as we are all crystal ball gazing and none of us really know which way it will go but i think the main difference between you and me is you say.

I say
"If we hit 1p"
I think a lot of us will be very happy IF this ever does get to the stage where we are talking in terms of multiples of pennies!

First IM could come tomorrow or Friday but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was still a couple of weeks away.
Remember this is a first stab at something brand new which is quite convoluted, there will be i's to dot , t's to cross and plenty of scope for potential last minute snarl ups.
If you are one of those people who is minded to think that once first IM is completed we are off and running , no looking back , the skies the limit kind of thing then I think you are being unrealistic. First IM is just a step in the right direction , then it will be a question of watch this space.
How well did it work?
What were the terms?
And MOST important of all ,
how long is the queue for follow up clients/funders?
