My HL account shows me as having received my entitlement plus the extra I asked for , however , if you look under "transactions" it will show money deducted but no quantity , that is because the quantity has not been established yet.
I am pretty sure the amounts of shares shown now are provisional and are highly likely to be scaled back in due course.
That what I think anyway but I COULD be wrong ,

Fair enough. We are not all happy clappers though , some of us have just taken a punt. It's no biggy.

I would have thought allocations would be scaled back proportionally in respect of what people have applied for and the target amount to be raised , I don't see any comparison to a lottery.

I think at this stage they just confirm what applicants have asked for and take the money for same then there will be some number crunching to be done and you will be informed as to what your allocation will be and your account adjusted accordingly, at least that is how I understand it but I may be wrong.

I am not sure but I think you may be right , the amounts shown are basically what you have asked for but not necessarily what you will get.

My HL account say noon yesterday , the 15th.

While i have filtered some of the most obvious detractors and one or two others for being foul mouthed juvenile delinquents i don't feel the need to filter everybody who has a view contrary to mine , why would i want to do that?

Maybe Venus want to hoover up unsubscribed cheap shares but then I don't suppose there will be too many of those , don't know , just thinking out loud really. Just seems like an odd amount , 66-1.

Maybe that's right , just a reflection of the high number of shares in circulation.

To be fair Melville, while I think there is more than a germ of truth in what you say I think it is also true to say that a great many of SYME investors knew full well they were taking a punt on a longshot when they put their money down and are happy enough to live with it , that's pretty much where I'm at and I don't think I'm suffering from any illusions , if it's a winner? Great!
If not? Life goes on , that's it.
I also think that those same "punters" are a good deal less vocal than some of the more radical SYME devotees.
It is easy to think , looking at some of the tripe that is posted here that the world is black & white but there is a whole sea of grey in between.

Three years seems a bit random , I assume you mean you will REVIEW after three years , if you have already been in for two years , for the sake of argument , and then in another years time SYME is just beginning to gain some traction and is at , let's say 0.50 , again for the sake of argument , surely you would stay in?
Otherwise it would be like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Unless you mean three years from now but even then the same logic would apply , just seems a bit arbitrary to put a time limit on it.

...and if you can remember the little bell that rang when a customer walked in , well what we need to hear from SYME is that bell ringing it's little balls off and if this first IM is part of a slow and painful process that gets us to that happy place then it will have been well worth the wait.

I think I do.
To be fair the RNS did go off somewhat half ****ed in so far as it was an irrevocable and binding commitment to do the deal but NOT transaction complete.
Some people seemed to think that first IM would send the sp into orbit , I would have thought at least a hefty spike but we saw neither.
If you think in terms of one of those old fashioned little grocers shops in the high streets , those of you who are old enough to rember high streets

Their website is crap and a lot of people in the business community have never heard of them , as alluded to by one attendee at the AGM , so maybe it would be money well spent.
SYME need to stick their foot in the door and make themselves known , quick sharp!
