It has been said that PNP going live would be the "trigger" to take advantage of self funding and white label opportunities for SYME.

While I very much hope that is the case I strongly dislike the use of the word "trigger" , it suggests that something will happen suddenly , very quickly and with immediate effect but SYMEs offering is quite a complex and convoluted one and I would have thought any first steps in this area would be slow and measured before we get to any kind of catharsis and in any case none of us can know what stage SYME are at in talks with a bank or banks in relation to white label. So I am not sitting on the edge of my seat and not counting any 🐔🐔🐔's just yet and prefer to just wait and see. We may get a better idea of where we're at with the upcoming investor meet company presentation.

I continue to hold and hope for good things to come but trying to keep it real at the same time.

Ok , I didn't check the date of the report either , schoolboy error.

The difference between THEN , clients and funders in particular looked at SYMEs concept and may have been forgiven for thinking it a bit fanciful ...

and NOW they have a couple of examples of the thing up and running(or soon will have)and may be more interested.

That's kind of strange though , they make specific mention of Inventory Monetisation and advise sme's to explore the possibilities thereof but make no attempt to suggest how they(sme's)should go about it.

I agree with everything that Lucky Bob has said but I would stop short of saying AZ has lied and if he has been guilty of over egging the pudding , well we don't HAVE to believe everything we are told.

The annual report made interesting reading , lots of things to be positive/hopeful about and I was pleased to see the company list some of the key risks and uncertainties in that section too , it puts everything into a sobering perspective and suggests that while progress is being made we are a long way from being home & hosed , I think that is some way off.

As long as we are not financially self sufficient we are vulnerable and we are a long way from being financially self sufficient.

I don't expect SYME to start doing cartwheels and going from nought to ninety in three seconds flat but as far as first IM through traditional funding is concerned , which is of course great news , we need to repeat the action , again and again and again and the sooner the better , as ultimately , on this as our survival depends.

As for white label? That would be manna from heaven but I take nothing for granted and I will believe it when I see it , at which point I will be doing a few cartwheels of my own !🤸🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

In the meantime , and as much for my own sanity as for any other reason , I will be keeping my expectations low and untill there is more good news I am prepared to see the sp slowly wind back down.

I don't want to be a wet blanket , just calling it as I see it.

One might ask ; if the company now has two IMs on it's scorecard and more on the way , why is it only worth about one tenth of what it was worth at it's height?

It could be that the company was vastly overvalued at it's height due to overinflated expectation , a rush of blood one might say. The current price may be more in tune with reality. It's always been about potential , i continue to hold and hope for good things to come.

Good Morning all.

It can be found under the principle risks and uncertainties section of the annual report 42/180 , which highlights a number of issues. I was interested to know if anyone thought we may be vulnerable to competition to particularly from larger players, ie players with a huge wad!

It is a genuine question by the way , and perhaps it won't be an issue at all particularly if we can establish a toehold in the market , competition may even turn out to be a good thing.
