Always waiting for the "Ah, that's why Duncan bought in"-realization. Is that it?
Duncan buying was a positive sign. Let's hope there will be more purchases near term accompanied by some positive news.
Is it possible that these bonds were just not bought by anyone? Pulling them off the market would increase the share price as less convertible bonds mean less floating shares available. Not that this changes anything fundamental for the company but having a low share price like this does not really stir up confidence or trust. Not saying a reverse split is a good idea but at some point.. 1GBX is just .. not good
It does count but certainly not much given their debt-to-equity is still 52/10 .. long way to go. A company that isn't profitable for years is hard to sell. Especially if that profitability is a very, very huge questionmark still.
Anything that can create a hype around tidal is welcome. SAE needs money and their current SP isn't particularly well suited for raising it..
Maybe Duncan Stuart Black is onto something? #InsiderTrading
* meant today "beyond 1GW" that is 1,000 MW of course..
Best thing that may happen is the UK government decides to take tidal seriously. Should something like this ever happen, then I see the stock go to the moon given SAE still has 20% in Proteus. But it's a big if as it can only happen if we see a commitment to deploy deployments beyond 1,000 GW.
Do we expect an RNS anytime soon?
Hopefully at its bottom before it finally appreciates in value from now on..
So far, it wasn't really discussed on this board, what the purchase of Duncan Stuart Black actually means or should mean to us.
Was it because he really thinks SAE is under-valued currently? Is he just trying to bait retail investors? I don't know. One single purchase doesn't mean nothing, but it doesn't mean everything either.
In any case, it certainly is a positive sign, rather than a negative one, in my opinion. That being said, and given the fact that my investment is currently worth basically nothing anymore, it can only go up at this point or stay at zero. So why bother at this point.
Nothing else to do than get your own coffe and join us watching what will happen..
SAE tweeted this on Twitter, I mean x'ed this on X

Imagine a turbine providing 25% of your energy needs 😅
"OEG Energy Group has raised $140m in new financing from several major banks to support the growth of its offshore renewables business, including the development, construction, and maintenance of wind and tidal turbines in the UK and other markets, it announced today."
Unless there is a sudden hype around tidal stream energy or something, don't expect this thing to go anywhere in the near term.
If this was the case, or if there was anything substantial to bet on, the company wouldn't be stuck below a £8m valuation.
All we can hope is that BESS allows the company to recover and that SAE can not only successfully deliver their CfDs, but also prove that these contracts actually allow to reduce the overall cost of TSE.
That being said, just bool SAE at a loss for now. Stop thinking about it and let it be for the next 1, 2 or maybe even 3 years.
We'll see. 😅
Not sure if SAE still has the chance to turn out to be such a lucky pick.
Greetings from the office..
I see.
Well, just make sure you don't gamble too much and enjoy the early retirement.
Statistically it is unlikely to get this lucky twice so... the logical consequence is that our investments are gone. Just joking of course.
What are you doing for a living s.t. you can afford a 50k investment into a stock like SAE?
