UKOG & their NOMAD have along history of not reporting properly - Magellan had over the limits for ages and were never reported on a TR! - we don't even know if they sold out -officially - although work by Peter CS on sells showed pretty clearly that they had liquidated their holdings

Unless UKOG can prove corruption there can be no costs - UKOG can appeal the decision and they may get their legal costs but not necessarily.

there ARE no big investors in UKOG - if there had been SS would have ben history years ago - it's all small holders holding their shares through brokers. The last big holder was the French who came in and clearly were sharp enough to get out fast when they saw what was happening

until we have more data low numbers are as valid as high ones

I think you're right RNS - it was a step-out to try and hit the jackpot but they obviously thought it was risky as they had a plan in place to sidetrack back towards proven oil ready - and you don't knock those out on the back of an envelope these days

Actually I can see ANGS following UKOG overseas once he gets SFB on stream - no future in the UK Onshore

he should be so lucky - we remember him/her ramping the bejasers out of UKOG and then disapearing overnight.................

Siting a well in W Texas is easy but in the UK you have to take into account land holdings, distance from other houses, Bats etc, traffic, water, archaeology, visual intrusion - just go and look at the vast pile of paperwork that has to be filed. Hardly any UK wells are drilled from the "best" location - they're almost all deviated from where they can get a site to the target. At Holmwood Europa were trying to drill over 1 km away from the optimum, vertical, location and still didn't get permission.

PS all Oil and gas rights are held by the Crown - I think they did that in 1923? long before O&G drilling started onshore UK - believe it or not there are some far sighted people in parts of the Govt .... like the guys who put a British Flag and a radio beacon on Rockall in the mid 50's - how the Irish laughed..................
