Yanis - the answer is obvious - their discussions with possible lenders are not going well - or at least not in the timeframe previously announced. Might be that whoever it is wants to do SERIOUS due diligence and crawl all over the reservoir model, the forecast production and (especially) the implementation plan. Given that any finalisation has moved well to the right they need money NOW to pay the bills, and to drip feed cash to keep SFB inching forward - without the £ 12mm they can't finish it but they can continue to show a modicum of "progress" to the long suffering LTH's who have been diluted (by up to 30%) again.

True - on Monday morning they were talking to people about raising £12mm - they're probably still talking to them - but things are clearly not going to happen soon - otherwise why do a £ 1.5 mm raise? Why pay a second set of fees???

This is not good

What worries me is that there is NO mention of the £ 12mm financing in that RNS -

You wouldn't do this raise if that was anywhere near - it seems clear that they are having trouble with it

and I think the spread is unchanged for most of this week

I don't think anyone has ever provided any real evidence of MM manipulation of these small cap stocks

Look at todays - it's far easier to explain as a mountain of small day traders seeing a notional +20% gain on stock they purchased earlier this month and selling up - it makes them feel good

lot of really small trades today - looks like day traders picking up pennies again................

It has NOTHING to do with the MM's - it's a simple computer algorithm - all those trades where below the mid point of the spread so they're marked as sells - if you don't understand that basic fact about the stock market you should keep you money elsewhere

What can he possibly say? he doesn't operate the acreage, he's got Govt approval, they've finalised the deal - what can he now say until something new (such as seismic or a well) occurs? Of course as you trade every day you need a spike I guess

Most water found in rock formations is "salty" - perhaps not as much as the sea but containing dissolved mineral salts

I have great faith in the minds of AIM directors and their advisors to find a way round any obstacle to screwing the LTH's.................... Maybe Aleph will get shares as part of the deal?
