HITS all producing sites operate 7 days a well AFAIK onshore UK - it would be unsafe not to . What is normally restricted is transport (which doesn't apply to a gas pipeline ) and major works. Normal ops are continuous. However no operation operates at 100% efficiency - N Sea fields dropped to 78% at one time but the CPR doesn't show a number that I can see . they almost certainly figured in some factor to produce their profiles tho'.

Problem is even if it succeeds that benefit is beyond the CA horizon. They're risking $ 20 mm net or so in an area of complex geology - and they won't see a direct or immediate benefit. I'd leave it to the 2023 owners I think. Remember CA don't get any direct benefit from the investment tax break.

This has implications for cash in the bank and it also pushes the time when we can sell any spare gas at the non-hedged rates further to the right. Can you post a link or a reference to those statements please? If they have to pull the pump it'll take them a lot longer than a week - they'll need a drilling rig for a start. And just getting a proper quote for that is well over a month
