Remember - they're connected to Libya & Algeria by a big pipeline with long term contracts and I believe they can also accept LNG

If anyone DID farmin they 'd want to operate the well etc - and I doubt UKOG would get a 2:1 - i.e. pay nothing retain 50% - more likely to be a 3:1 (retain 33%) or even 4:1 (retain 25%). any farminee would know that UKOG haven't the funds to pay for a development so they have them, literally, over a barrel.

lawyers benefit - when it can take 3-6 months to buy a house in the UK as opposed to 2 week in the USA you can start to see the problem

i've told people before - I have been held RKH of and on since the original float. I hold for a couple of years and then sell. I buy in when I can see signs of imminent action, I sell when it looks becalmed. In this case I expect to buy back in mid/late 2023 once an FDP is on the table and agreed with FIG. It's not Warren Buffet but I haven't lost any money here (as opposed to other small oilers I've been in).

I post on here to counteract the rampers - the people who last week were telling everyone that the new Italian Govt would settle straight away because it would clear the slate for example

yes they'll win - eventually - but they will either have to pay more legal fees or pay a significant amount as a success fee to the lawyers. And it won't be quick -

The third-party funding agreement does not cover any costs arising past the date of the Award (23 August 2022). Having anticipated Italy might attempt to annul the Award, Rockhoppper has a non-binding offer in place to fund both fighting the annulment and enforcing the Award if required. The Company will now consider this along with other funding possibilities. A separate success fee of approximately £3 million is due to the Company's legal representatives on establishing liability and an award requiring Italy to pay over €25 million in damages. This amount is not covered by either funding agreement.
