They are unlikely to be FORCED to sell in the next few months. They clearly hold the cards here and as I said yesterday I expect they'll get out when they see a decent offer that gives them a good profit. They won't want to risk getting stuck here so it will be lower than some on here would like.

I think that tax credits in a sale are normally valued for a buyer at around 30% - 50%of the value on the books. They have to get SOME upside otherwise why bother?

if you mean at the target they are 2- 3weeks away - read the Investors questions on the web site. They have to run a whipstock , pull out, and then run in with a drill bit - they then drill out to the reservoir target - it takes time and it requires a lot of care. I think ANGS said they expect it to take around 20+ days before they know any results and maybe another week before they have the logs and any samples.

All oil field drilling is done 24/7, and often 365 days a year. Stopping is not good for the reservoir, the kit or the people

Transport, non urgent work etc may be daylight only, or not on weekends but drilling (and production) are totally different

Have you seen one of these operations? You destroy the landscape , then effectively burn the rock to get the gas and dump the remains. Sure it generates hydrocarbons but the cost in environmental terms is vast.

CA will want the best price they can get - and they'll want as much as possible upfront - nothing deferred as they want out totally fairly soon. They'd probably take shares from a well traded major (eg BP) as they know they can turn those in the market quickly - they won't be interested in paper form a small outfit with limited capitalisation.

They'll also prioritise a clean bid at a lower price over a higher one full of due diligence and legalese that allows a lot of wriggle room .

Normally 33-50% but the tax losses here are the critical thing - they are worth a lot more to some companies rather than others.
