A year ago on Wednesday I was driving to Classic Le Mans waiting for the AGM results. The raise was announced, the shares plummeted to 10p and I thought this is mentally cheap. They must bounce from here on the prospects.

This Wednesday I will be making the same journey with the shares 25% lower than what I thought was the nadir. I can only imagine the carnage the next AGM will bring …..

For those of you wishing to see a return on your investment wholesale change at the top will set us back as a result of the disruption it would cause.

I agree that change now is essential. I urge selective not wholesale. No-one knows what discussions are taking place and how contacts are being leveraged. To risk re-railing that and starting again, as we did 3 years ago makes no sense to me. I’ve seen first hand the benefits of wholescale board changes can bring BUT over time under the leadership of a first class Chairman/CEO.

Hopefully those holding the greatest volume of shares will also have the clarity and vision to balance the coming changes needed and get us moving in the right direction. As Freddie says we have some dead wood but also some of the right pieces though not always in the right holes.

As a presentation Sooty it was appalling. Been doing them to global blue chips for years. I would have loved two days with them to get into shape what they wanted to convey in a meaningful format. I guarantee the outcome would have been very different!

What’s disgraceful Freddie is that they accepted the bonuses in the first place. To have declined would have shown better decision making and a recognition of value.

Agree with you on the Chair , a position for which we all see Adam as the obvious choice.

As for Stella I would absolutely retain her. We need spine and demonstrable track record in a period of execution and growth. I didn’t see arrogance. I saw confidence in her own ability and a conflict with the Chair

Further to my post when I watched the presentation again there is no way that is a united Board sharing a common vision and driving in the same direction. Watch it again, study the body language and hear the words not just listen to them and then make considered judgements devoid of emotion.

I want hard nosed Directors who can make things happen not conciliatory words when the writing is in the wall !!

Since the shareholders are talking about Biard changes then she is right Val is not stable. That comment on stability could also refer to aboard dynamics and the environment she is operating in.

It would make no sense to me, given the strategy, to lose Stella’s expertise and contacts. Likely it was her that drive the Imagen acquisition which had been universally welcomed.

Been in business for 40 years. When building a team to drive and execute Stella would be a first pick. To be successful you can’t be liked by everyone but you can earn their respect!
