Jimmy my natural distasteful instinct is to be smug and say you should have bought at 11p like I. But it has done 1 4+ bag & imo might another. What I want to ask is, is your "stagnant" investment the right source of funds? Did you sell at a loss? Personally, I try to avoid that. I do make enough cashed profits to offset my paper losses; so I hang on. Some hopeless cases have returned to profit (most not) so I am so happy I resisted selling at loss. All up to you in the end, horses for courses. Gla

Personally I have sliced quite a bit (20%?)but only in my taxable account, into which I unfortunately bought most ujo. Thing is if it falls I can buy back for less, it rarely has recently. Since that would increase my average ppshare, when I sell them later, less/no cgt.

Stille, I don't remember utter fun. I do recall falling out of a ft index (100?) at which point the fund managers dumped and we could buy for chips. 6m later it was readmitted, and our value soared. (Sure posted this before.) When I heard of a respiratory virus I sold out: strangely it continued to rise over £15 before reality struck. I never did forex or other gambling. No she is not, living. "Disliked/unelected". Do I recall, in the 70s party leaders were elected solely by its MPs? Prior to that, tory leaders were unelected, but "emerged". The loonies who abducted Labour in the 80s agitated for, and achieved, a system where unions and local constituency parties got a vote for leadership. Then the tories were daft enough to copy them, in the name of democracy. To be PM, you need support from MPs: the wider electorate gets its say every 5y. I don't despair, exactly, but feel uneasy.

Ricard, its the end of moratorium, not compulsory fracking, everywhere, now. JOkin, tbh 11.2p was the best I got, clearly too few with hindsight, had already bought lots dearer: but they went into isa and still all there. I was somewhat inhibited, 11p was the end of a long decline, bashers were vociferous; you remember. On the other hand, the first Wressle $1m had already been rnsed so I should have been more confident. Eeehh, hindsight?
