Yeah, there are probably as many decent protestors, as scumbag investors: are we not all cut from the same cloth? Indeed, they may have more decent, since they BELIEVE (often misguidedly) they're helping the world, while we are only helping ourselves.

At the risk of simplistically answering a purely rhetorical question
1)mcap tells you the company's growth/fall in value, &
2)sp tells you the growth/fall in value of your shares.
Mcap is immune to the effects of placing/buyback: we are not.

Predicting the future is tricky. There have been apparent huge increasing demands for firewood, coal, oil, gas, uranium. But circumstances will change and new science will emerge; obviously we don't know what or when. We know we have a hugely-valuable resource nowhere near being mined.

Sure adam, hydrogen unlikely to supersede EVs. However imo battery research might find other elements which can perform better than Li, or which have other advantages. Anyone with a good Li resource should move to a working mine rapidly, before peak Li demand: we cannot know when that will be.
