Mr P, agree. This isn't on PM/Mike Buck. I would have expected this was a straight forward prerequisite. May even have assumed the task in hand was covered. I'm glad this hasn't delayed the 2018 drilling campaign as a whole, I suspect PM have recieved a load of cash as a result of missing a critical milestone for spud. If not, they should.
Mike Buck has made it a great RNS with the increased potential Wild Horse. Fortunately the man knows how to run a business providing balance where required. In this case Sinopec being incapable of doing meeting any plan. There is absolutely no excuse to have a delay on visas. They had initially planned to drill last September. They knew drilling was due to recommence in April. Get a 30 day visa and transfer it into an annual one. I understand delays are inevitable...but this one is just highlighting company incompetence at its finest. Good work Sinopec. *Slow clap*
Agree, any news will be welcome right now. Site preperation work will take ~2 weeks therefore I expect an operational update to confirm this next week. I expected an update on permits and rig mob but if they want to wrap up under one RNS then so be it.
I must admit I expect an RNS last week to confirm receipt of permits and subsequently mobilisation of rig. As others have said they'll update us when they see fit. Site works are not dependent on the previous and therefore I expect the necessary site preperations and maintenance will be completed mid May (in 2010 this took 2 weeks April 27th to May 11th). I expect an operational update imminently.
Hi D1nger, WRT permit RNS, for MATD no. For other shares yes. Example - ANGS 14.11.16. Operational update to come our way soon to cover a number of parallel tasks, renewal of land use permits being one of them. This is a busy period for MATD and as you have said, what's not to get excited about. These blocks have been researched for a long time now and it excites me when you see how excited Mike Buck is when presenting the geological structures he is soon to drill.
Delboy, drilling season in Mongolia is April to November. I suspect we will see drilling in Block XX whilst drilling in Block IV they are not dependent of one another (seperate rig). No RNS yet to confirm permits however I suspect they are accumulating an operational update to include confirmation of permits, site works and rig mob (let's see what next week brings us). Snow Leopard = 7m, Wild Horse = 4m, Gazelle = 2m and TBC = 2m, Total = 15m. Please review the company presentations.
Not long to wait now investors. Site works to commence in May (this week). Land use renewal expected to be closed out in April. I suspect the permit has already been recieved. My gut feeling is saying an RNS tomorrow or Thursday. Fingers crossed.
Jndavid, if your post was meant to read. "What are the recoverable estimates at Gazelle in Block XX, the 50% - 75% appraisal well?" Gazelle and one other case estimates can be found within the company presentations for 15MMBO recoverable oil.
Nice little run up. May on Tuesday. Anticipate news next week with regards permits and rig mob. Snow Leopard and Wild Horse at 20% COS and Gazelle and TBC apparaisal wells at 50% - 75% COS. I predict spud to commence in June for Snow Leopard and I predict either Gazelle or the well who shall not be named to be spud early in H2 ( early August). May shall hopefully be the month full of confirmed RNS. Good luck all.
Risk / Reward my mate, why do people choose a particular number on the roulette table rather than going black or red, why do people choose horses with greater odds, why do people choose to do an accumulator on the football. The potential rewards are high here and given the low COS even for only 1 of them basin openers, the company remains undervalued.
4 drills to take place within a 7 month drilling season. 2 drills using the sinopec rig which is to be mobilised imminently (permits due within April) and the second which is in it's final stages for tender for 2 appraisal wells. 20% Snow Leopard, 20% Wild Horse, 50% - 75% Gazelle and 50% - 75% TBC. A fully funded campaign with an 84% COS of hitting oil in 1 of the 4 wells. Have a good weekend all.
