Wow,... MPS has just signed a 5yr contract with "an insolvent Ghanaian travel agent" for the scanning of containers, of up to circa a 3.5 million containers/annum.... at one of the largest, most technologically advanced ports in West Africa!

Guess what,... it's not possible to enter in to a contract for the provision of services with an insolvent company. Doh! Why don't you write to somebody and let them know? It's a scandal!

Still,... at least, the management can get a great deal on a couple of weeks, all inclusive in Benidorm!

PS What do you reckon to dhc,..?? Did he lie in paragraph 2 or paragraph 6 of his post? Do you hold shares,.. or , have a short?

What is interesting in the report,..if the reporting is accurate,... is that is isn't highlighting the fact that we are issuing the final the 2019 figures... it is the fact that they have stated that we will be revealing record Q1 figures! So all very positive for this coming week.... and if accompanied by a push on the marketing front, then even better.

I just need to check on the price of Brent Crude and my work here will be done . Boom boom- ( Can I respectfully request that all future sarcasm and irony be followed by a 'boom, boom' so as to ensure that I get it?! Lockdown is taking it's toll .. and sadly shrugging my shoulders, rolling my eyes and saying "Office Party!" is no longer working at the bottle bank as I unload the boot of my car!)

Errr... no... we are not. Nor, belfry,...is our sales revenue linked to WTI or Brent. Are you guys for real?

Some of our revenue IS generated in US $.. but we are NOT an oil play. In fact the recent movement in £/$ exchange rates has actually been working in our favour,... We have come off £/$1.32 in Feb .. to about £/$1.24 over the past few weeks.

So, for comparison, $1000 US in sales revenue is now worth £806... @£/1.24$... compared with exchange rate at $1.32= £757 in Jan/feb. That's an increase of circa circa 6-7%.

Low oil will make it cheaper to fly,... SL managed service contract makes it's money by number of passengers flying.

Low oil makes it cheaper to manufacture and ship goods- Tema makes it's money by the scanning of containers-- mores stuff being made, sold and moved through the port is where we make our money- low oil helps that.

Interesting,... not sure how they got to that ebitda figure. Certainly not figures that I have seen out in the public domain from the Trading statements issued by the company, via RNS. One figure that they have used, and is presumably instrumental in that getting to the EBITDA figure is 20219 sales revenue, which they have stated as £9.6M,... yet the company has clearly stated £10.9M.-? Which would turn a 600K loss in to a £700K profit?

The current un-forseen fall in the price of oil price,... demonstrates how vulnerable these nations are and makes the case for the ME as a whole to transfer to an economy, less reliant on oil, all the more urgent and relevant.

IMHO, SA's strategy of making itself a global transport hub, becomes more likely to be accelerated... rather than moth-balled--- and the sort of sums that we are talking about are small change in terms of overall GDP.

As a matter of course I imagine that a large proportion of the costs will be leveraged and repaid from the revenues generated by the various 25/35year (?) operating contracts - in much the same as the TEMA/ GPHA/MPS Consortium deal?

C-vid tech sales--- disagree,... the last update was on 1st April,... they know that they are issuing the finals this Thursday,... I would expect a further update at that time... they have already put in an RNS that the cumulative sales are viewed as substantial etc.,.. ( or words to that effect,..can't remember the exact phrase they used),.. which, as far as I understand the company's obligation to inform the market,.. covers off their position?

Something more on this would be nice. I doubt, for obvious, security issues there is a lot they could say,.. but an update/further information on our involvement and our likely involvement going forward would be welcome.

What will be fascinating, is the operational update. Info on the c-vid sales, how we adapting to our business strategy to cope with suppling c-vid related equipment and training., how TEMA is performing... an update on SL and the current state of play,... etc.,... perhaps some info on the ME Ports that we were asked to inspect,...? Euro ops,... Training... lots and lots of stuff,..

I trust that they will provide us with a very thorough and full update on all aspects of the business.

It's a while since we have had an update on sales.. C-vid related. It's three weeks since the last, official news, which included sales related to C-vid. At that time they reported the latest sales as circa $600K/week..... so apron £0.5M a week. That was on 1st April. Three weeks have since past,... and it will be four weeks at the end of next week, when we are expecting the 2019 Finals,.. and hopefully an update on Q1 Trading.

If the C-vid sales have continued at that rate,... we may have banked another £2M in tech sales. So the finals and update will be very interesting.

Westminster will announce its Final Results for the 12 months to 31 December 2019 on Thursday 30 April 2020.
