Aiming,... wasn't able to track the movements for two or three weeks,.. as teh marine traffic site I was using wasn't;'t showing the ship details etc.,... but I checked earlier this week and it seems to be ok again... so I will be starting, as of today to track them.

Steve...... it will be the the final accounts for 2019.... our trading year is Jan to Dec,.... and a statement on the first quarters trading for this year.

Feeks,... would have thought that WSG could bring forward the publication of accounts,.... not sure why it takes almost 4 months to finalise for a company of this size and turnover?

In any case,... we already know that these accounts will be a vast improvement on last years, with most likely,..a return to profit...... and this with only circa 5months revenue from Tema ( those months including the 'soft' start up. We exited the year with ship 'throughput' at the Tema port averaging the start up volumes,.... and WSG has signalled that this has improved yet again this year as a whole.
Clearly the sales revenue will be impacted,... however, to what extent,... or whether the C-Vid tech supplies actually outstrip the falls in other sectors is unknown.
Time will tell. But when you look at overall market cap against potential revenue etc.,... ?

Foxy,.. first of all.....hope everything thing went well with the medical thingy..

But... it's a little unfair to describe the Covid- tech sales as ' little tech sales'.

If the Tech division had a nnounce a new contract for $2M... we would all be saying how good that is etc.,---- the fact that they may clock $x million in small sales is still the same amount of revenue,... and therefore shouldn't be dismissed! ... and yes,.... before you say it,... I understand that the margins on the tech sales may not be as high as on the MSC's-- but hopefully the supply/demand situation has allowed us to max that out.

..... the sales revenue generated from the C-Vd related Tech sales has the potential to outstrip the whole of the revenue generated by SL..-- we are at $1M already,...( and there were no C-Vid sales last year at all.) and the last $250K in sales was added in a matter of a few days. Hopefully we will continue to get these updates,... and a very full trading update, at the end of April, when the Finals for 2019 are released.

I would imagine the 'Contract' signing was as much about a photo opportunity in Tema as the actual signing?... given we are 'appointed' and evidently written in to the MPS /Scanport contract as the tech provider. If it becomes difficult to travel to Ghana,.. then the relevant party(ies) might be persuaded to travel to Banbury instead,... else the BoD can simply arrange for the docs to be signed and witnessed without meeting. Would be a shame to cement the Tema project in this way,.. without more fanfare,.... but not the end of the world.

PS. Hope the surgery/doc inspection went ok.

..as an aside,... I can't actually see the RNS anywhere yet... only what someone has posted up here.

Interesting... we know how reticent WSG appear to bee in RNS'ing tech contracts unless they are 'material'. ... but now we have at least some visibility on what effect the C-Vid will have on tech sales this year. As 'individua'l sales,... they are not huge,... but 'en masse' they are now described as 'a material element of our business during the current financial period'.

With $750,00 sales in 2.5 months and, for the majority of the world, stricter pre-cautionary monitoring etc., only just coming being implemented I think it is likely that the current level of sales/enquiries will continue for some time..... and therefore it is reasonably safe to assume that C-Vid sales alone will be in to the millions of dollars.-- hence the requirement for todays RNS.

I also don't think we will see 2m TEU's for some time. My year end guesstimate for 2020 would be annualised circa 1.25-1.5M at year end. I may be being conservative, who knows!

I don't read it like that at all. In fact It say:

"..has now been signed between Meridian Port Services and Scanport, confirming Westminster as the Technical Partner for the duration of the Contract"

So it must be written in the agreement,...that MPS?SCanport have signed... that we,.. WSG,... are the Technical partner. Put crudely,...Scanport are only providing the boots on the ground,.... we are providing the brains and training.

Let's wait for the further details to be issued,.. as they have stated, before trying to second guess what is going on. We have a minimum of 5 years--- cargo throughput is going fast and will continue to grow. This underpins cashflow for the next 5 years and should see us back in to profit over those years all things being equal. A massive step forward.

I think PF got the news out there just as soon as he could and he has probably said as much as he can,.. given the likelihood that the negotiations with MPS/ Unions etc., is probably still on-going.

As it says:

PS. You never know,... we might get a few pleasant surprises soon,.... the old bus adage would be nice! 7 weeks to 2019 finals and update. We know the finals will be good,.. and if Tema could land before then, sentiment here could change very quickly.

... today is the first day for about a week that I have been able to see the ship movements berthed..... there was 'traffic' in and out of the port,.. but not names and type of vessel weren't showing.
