Tbh Oil I’ve had a break for a couple of weeks from SNG and it feels to me people are more frustrated with the SP than anything else and it’s over spilling. Totally understandable. I just think even if you forget covid this drug will be invaluable once it gains approvals. Market cap is £160 million. Minimum price for this is £600m upon a successful phase III trial. Personally I believe we will need therapeutics for COVID-19 for another winter or two yet and then there is the whole cast of respiratory viruses existing today and future ones that haven’t hit us yet that SNG001 will have application for.
The fastest way to approvals is through hospital trials as we are dealing with larger numbers which the regulators will want to see for various data sets. It has meant home trial being on the back burner. I also suspect home trial data is harder to quantify unlike a secure setting like a hospital where access to patients means results and observation is easier. I trust the company knows the fastest route to market and we should have faith in that. You know RM and Prof SH have far more money invested in this than we do.
I think you need to calm down oil. It may be this journey is taking longer than most PI’s, including me, thought it would take but it’s a journey nonetheless and I think we will be happy with the final destination. Really that’s all that matters. Within 12 months or thereabouts SNG will have completed a phase II and III National and international trial and a home trial here and in the USA. Who would have predicted that back in February.
‘30 currently’ doesn’t to me translate as thirty in total. That means 30 currently being monitored. Anyone’s guess how many others have been recruited prior or since. Plus this gets underway in America, numbers will balloon.
Even assuming the AZN/Oxford trial has no further data bombshells the trial is now flawed. The only way to see if the half dose then full dose regimen is 90% effective would be to begin another trial in all age groups. This will take time. Once this gets out to the main media it will erode faith in taking the Vaccine. Last thing that authorities and all of us needed but their you are. Many people believed these vaccine trials were being rushed. At least Synairgen do things properly. Data is king. False data is the death null.
110- your expectations perhaps. I’ve always been hopeful we would hit £4, anymore to me is a bonus. Should we get through phase III which is minimum 70% likely, I’ve bought back in today sub 85p and I’m happy with that. Market Cap is £166 million. Worth a lot more than that as a finished product with or without Covid. Aim awards Mon/Tues next week hopefully means some more exposure too.
You have to remember too, even before this pandemic mess, the Brexit gang which took over the government were all for suspending parliament so they could force through their Brexit deal. Even heavyweight Tories like Major and Michael Howard had to try to reign them back. My MP Dominic Raab actually ran on that in the Tory leadership election as part of what he would be willing to do. Boris Johnson after Brexit threatening to tear up the agreement framework and go back on his word breaking ‘International law’ leaving even our allies with their jaws dropping. If it was written into a book people would say it was far fetched.
Volatility- because it’s a dodgy government. Matt Handjob allowing Cheltenham races to go ahead and Dido Harding, who also belongs to the jockey club, making a statement to a select committee that no one could have predicted the amount of cases approaching the autumn????. Respiratory virus getting worse as winter approaches, unheard of, ffs. Then we have test and trace given to private firms like Serco, who is run by Randolph Soames, brother to Sir Nicholas Soames, Tory stalwart, both Winston Churchill’s grandson’s. Shadowy businessmen receiving large sums of money, in one case, £21million to act as a go between to acquire PPE. That’s all after sending sick people without properly testing them back into care homes which led to many more deaths. They had a massive stroke of luck with the Vaccine results thus far, probably about the only thing that would save them.
Love winding up the wind up merchants, good to give them a bit of their own medicine. Parsley Sauce and whinge whinge. I’m in Surrey, if you boys are local then in the words of Ron Burgundy, ‘Let’s do this’. :). To everyone else have a great weekend.
I think it fair to say this board was better when the likes of Parsley sauce and Whingewinwin were off somewhere else plaguing another BB. Couple of bottom feeders really. Would love to meet them down a dark alley and knock the granny out the pair of them.lol.
Good luck to all positive souls who put in research and provide good and bad points without the constant negative slant to their posts. I mean really, why are they here if they don’t believe in SNG. Weirdo’s the pair of em.
To a point Whingeywinewine is right, regarding vaccine news affecting the SP here but he doesn’t have the knowledge/vision to see the potential here as a medium to long term play. What would a general all round anti viral be worth having completed phase III trials. Even forgetting Covid and assuming Vaccines maintain an over 90% efficacy, the market cap sub £200m is cheap.
The way i see it, sales can come in any moment with the Mayo Clinic tie up. Also we know the CE mark for europe sales could land any moment this quarter. Shares have been as high as 23p, currently around 10p. Think i'd rather be a buyer than a seller at these prices. Each to their own. Promising pipeline with the IB network and Stonecheker 2.0 update due too.
Matt- sorry but £50 or probably £10 is silly talk really and I think we need to move away from that banter. I wouldn’t really believe any broker target price, they nearly always are cloud cuckoo land. I don’t see why the share can’t hit £3-4 and what’s wrong with that. I think if SNG were offered £800m right now they would probably take it. Certainly 1billion would be tempting I would have thought. Everyone here would be in decent profit and everyone’s a winner.:)
I think for a while the bigger picture has been obscurred by COVID and thats understandable as it is the most pressing need. However, a future respiratory virus is bound to be along within the next 3-8 years going on the track record of such events since the millenium. To have this general anti viral in place for any such event will be huge. Look at it another way, if SNG001 had been around and on the market in January this year the demand would have been phenomenal. Now the World's eyes and governments eyes have been opened as to how devastating such a pandemic can be, costing the world economy trillions of dollars, it isn't hard to envisage a drug such as this being stockpiled. In fact it would be negligent not too. In three years time when someone decides to have bat salad, we will hopefully be ready.
Potentially if they can sell their stated capacity for manufacturing 100,000 treatments a month from 2021 at £2,200 ($3,000) each treatment then revenue stream is £220,000,000. per month. Even if they can sell this to governments under stockpiling requirements which is certainly possible then yearly revenue would be £2.64 billion. Wow. Makes it look a very worthwhile play for a company with a near £200m market cap.:)
a few points i noted from webinar:
Home trial data will come next, they have from October been recruiting on average 1-2 patients a day (120 needed). Not far away!!
Brokers Finncap and Numis are analysing revenue streams but RM of the opinion cost of treatment would be roughly the same as Remdisivir (he mentioned our data was better!), $3,000 per treatment thus about £2,200.00. RM mentions a few times potential for stockpiling and shelf life for SNG in cold store would be approx 5 years, less if not frozen.
Advisors, who we would know by name RM stated, are aiding SNG with negotiations with big Pharma, so they are still very much in play.
Phase III will have interim analysis and we will definately be using UK and International apparatus to get this done as quickly as possible. Will start in Q4 2020. Could take between 2-5 months. 2 being quickest , 5 being slowest.
MAP (managed access programme) could well become a tipping point for Governments to encourage wider use but this is not a clinical trial and as such cannot be used for data in that respect.
I'm hoping when a question arises about big Pharma, RM develops a nervous twitch so a blink= YES, double blink = NO. :) Body language is all. Although he'll be careful to avoid any issue which requires an RNS their are ways he can infer some action is happening. Like when he said before, when asked what message he had for shareholders he replied, 'just wait for news, we are news driven share'.
