So clearly a vaccine would be great but won’t be the complete fix we need. Don’t give up those SNG Shares would be my advice.
Davidpqz- on that reckoning and the fact you are not a SNG holder you must have missed out on Manic Monday too. How did staying out then work for you. People who have researched this and know what’s going on will be aware multiple news boosters could land at any time. No way I’d be on the sidelines but each to their own!:)
If Finncap’s target is £4.20 and they estimate monthly peak earnings at £300 million that doesn’t really make sense I agree. Even allowing for a 70% chance of phase III success. I suppose the joint brokers can claim success if the SP is between £4.20-£50 (Numis bullish SP forecast) in five months time. To be fair to them this is a complete guessing game as to future SP, so many variables. Although looking at other valuations of successful drugs from phase III trials a valuation of 2-3 billion wouldn’t be out of the ordinary, minimum really. That would put us at around £12-18 a share. I’ll take that tbh. Little way to go yet mind. GLA.
SNG had very strong efficacy in a phase II placebo controlled trial. Also inhaled directly to the problem area unlike IV which would fire up the whole system. As I understand it SNG001 is a unique formulation not just INF B1a. Been working on it for over 10 years. I suspect the major difference is direct application to the lungs. After all that’s where the virus takes root before potentially spreading around the body.
Hi Jint- I guess an II coming on board now will see it through to the end anyway so probably not a major concern if they are holding in larger percentages. Oil, that’s a great analogy. Bit like Band of Brothers, digging a foxhole waiting for the next barrage to come in. We’ve dodged bombs with II’s, Ace 2 receptors, trial results, peer reviews, dosages, regulatory authorities, logistics et al. :). Still fighting the good fight despite apparent lack of government help. SNG deserve any success they get totally. Us Pi’s do too for hanging in there.
Hi Woodstock, you too. Don’t know about you but I’d like to see this through to the end. I get the feeling and always have that I could invest in shares for a 100 years and not get the same opportunity or chance to do the right thing than invest in SNG. Might sound flakey but I’m here to the end of the line. Looking forward to the next four months. Atb.
Ghia- not too sure about an II large investor being desirable. As you know we’ve had Woodford-Link-Acacia, Griffiths, Lansdowne. All of whom owned over 15%, all of whom were intent on selling, distressed or otherwise. I’d prefer strong II’s with a holding of no more than 6-7%. If they decide to sell it’s not too painful. Plus if things come to a vote down the road may be beneficial to have a spread of voting rights, not too much power in any one entities hands.
Would love to see the Prof Holgate lecture. As a side thought if I create a vaccine in my garage and give it a catchy name like Cov-buster, I could get ten million pound thrown at me by the government and invest it all in SNG. Hmmm.
When you think about it Venrock were happy to pay £2 and over for their initial shares and they have a rep for shrewd decision making. The placement gives you a safety net of sorts. When we had a 35p placing the price didn’t dip far below that price. Clearly we are further along the road now. It’s not too hard sitting in at these prices with a really good chance we could be at £6 plus come March/April next year. Clearly need patience but it’s quite a small price to pay really when considering the final destination. I’ll be trying to pick up some more on any dips from now till then. In for a penny and all that.GLA.
I have it on very good authority that the government are transferring prisoners from northern jails to the south for hospitalised Covid treatments. Hospital in the Guildford area close to me is apparently taking in those patients. One of the nurses told a friend they are feeling quite unsafe as a result. Prisons were always going to be a hot bed for the virus.
Punit- I cant believe you haven’t got repetitive strain injury given how many words you just typed. Please don’t go too mad:). Kind of agree though. I’m not sure Johnny MM will want 7 million shares hitting the market with an SP well above the placement price of 1.75. For anyone interested I think the AIM awards has been shifted to a digital format and is now spread over several weeks end of November to early December. Pity I was looking forward to seeing RM doing celebratory laps of his living room. All good things to those who wait.:)
This could become a political disaster for the tories, if their handling of the pandemic isn't already. When Covid numbers start to rocket away which they will unless they lock us all up for the winter. As the trials and evidence gathers pace we have the drug that can make a massive difference in the fight against covid and the help from government and financial support = 0. Forced to raise money for the trial itself and seek help with trials and production in America. Where was aid from the U.K. Government in our hour of need? Absolute disgrace, but delighted for SNG and the team they are pushing through the political detritus.
TommyD19- sound a little negative tbh. I think RM is doing the best thing for the company, shareholders and himself. If big Pharma isn’t offering fair value would you want him to take it?. MM’s will do what they do, in three to four months it probably won’t matter as regards short term SP action. The trial itself given current infection rates shouldn’t take long to fill. I believe also it is a bit of a game of bluff. Big Pharma may not want to part with billions at this stage but with positive phase III trials under the belt then a big offer will have to come in or they sell it through a distribution network. Either way they will make billions. Need patience but I appreciate for some this will be too much.
Eva- SNG are not running alone in this anymore. Company running the trial, Parexel has 20,000 employees and clients in over 100 countries. Based in Boston USA and Durham, North Carolina. They can also help with the FDA regulatory process and market access. It’s a great tie up imo.
Of course you did Dacorum. And Parsley who recently said ‘Don't pay much attention you lot do you. Check 19:49 post on Sunday when I stated this would be min 300p very soon.’ Couple of Rembrandts.
From Layer Cake ‘if you choose to sell to him that’s your prerogative , that’s your business. But I’ll tell you this if you don’t sell to me I will be very disappointed’. I imagine this scenario between RM and the boss of Sanofi or Pfeizer or whomever :).
Agree their has been enough time and money spent on vaccines and whilst important to persevere with that, therapeutics now need to be centre stage for the coming winter. The oxford vaccine we were promised an 80% chance that would be ready by September. Didn’t happen. Then we were told Christmas. Not going to happen. Now we are being told they may not work for more than three months. And first wave of vaccines won’t end pandemic. Something that will knock the pandemic on the head is their waiting to be approved. Governments and Health authorities need to pull their fingers out and get this done quick.
Terolite- very sorry to hear that. My grandfather contracted asbestosis from working in a power station too even though he didn’t work directly with it. Hopefully this will help down the line. Good to have you here. All the best.
