Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
The virus isn’t going to play along to politicians elections or anyone else’s agenda for that matter. Whilst their is no vaccine or effective therapeutic humans are not in control. To think this won’t be a lot worse in three months time is folly. Heaven and earth should be getting moved to evaluate the promising treatments, which SNG001 is one. If the UK government doesn’t get fully behind this soon then they will pay the price imo. Or rather we the public will as we have been over the past months. Time to wake up and realise their won’t be a vaccine ready this winter, so we need something else and quickly.
I share your frustration sharesting but you can’t keep a good man down. SNG have done everything right and have never let us down. Prof Holgate has communication lines with CMO Prof Chris Whitty. He instructed him to chair the parliamentary inquiry into preparations for a second wave of the pandemic and emergency planning. Should people think SNG do not have inroads to government is a mistake. When all is said and done the drug will do the talking and I’m happy with that. Data is king as RM once said.:)
Sharesting- good to hear from you, hope you are keeping well my friend :). I always go back to the research and the BOD. Then my confidence returns after a bad day, SP’s ebb and flow but the principles don’t change. We are definately due a solid newsflow.
Not wanting to be accused of sticking my head in the sand or as an idiot once said ‘my baby is not ugly’ Syndrome :), I cannot see how the % fall today matches the volume traded. A 20% drop equates to about 30 million shares in the company being sold, even allowing for MACOSTA selling his/her million :) it doesn’t add up. I strongly believe this was walked down so MM’s could hoover up the stop losses in anticipation of news. Especially as word from the company is all is proceeding as planned and results will be delivered soon. Outside chance tomorrow morning imo. Good luck all, let’s hope for a better one tomorrow.
Parsley, you are a twat. Where were you when people here were investing and taking on the doomsayers like you at 35p and such. You are just as likely to be spectacularly wrong if an RNS lands tomorrow morning. You offer no research or proper evaluation of SNG. Soon as we have a good day again you’ll vanish, seen it a few times in this share already. You won’t be missed.
If you had listened to this mangled piece of a website you would never have been invested in the first place. They have never called SNG right. Back in April they were urging caution to buying into SNG, oops!!. The recent piece focuses imo on all the worse case scenarios. SNG having to go it alone, having to go into a large Phase III, market cap valuation struggle. It’s all nonsense really. LTH’s know more about the company than the staff on MF’s. As Oil says, hold for gold!.
Absolute red herring the trump angle. Have said it before, Trump needs SNG a lot more than SNG needs Trump. Probably won’t even be in office come November so why the fascination with what he says?!. Total waste of effort analysing it.
Ultra- to be honest their are quite a few people on this BB who knew or at least strongly suspected SNG was going to be huge. I actually prefer the layout of this site but each to their own. Good luck to all for the week ahead. :)

Unfortunately the Dr John video doesn’t make comforting viewing when assessing the impact of schools returning. He says that their has been studies done at Massachusetts general hospital which proves that Children have a higher viral load than adults and can spread the virus just as easily, including if they are asymptomatic. So the government is desperate to get children back to school but it will drive up infection rates. Damned if they do and damned if they don’t really.
Their is an argument of hitting ‘form’ when you are on a good run and making good decisions. Hard to explain but you see and interpret things more clearly . They are ‘thunderstorm’ periods and it is crucial to maximise them to make serious money. They don’t last forever and neither will the circumstances that made it possible for SNG to shine. GLA.
Evening Woodstock, I only know as much as anyone else, RM said it was difficult filling trial as numbers in the community waned. I remember he mentioned they probably wouldn’t fill it until the 2nd wave hit. I know we are averaging just over a thousand a day now for the last week, so I would imagine they are picking up a few. The trial parameters also stated that the trial could be ended early due to lack of numbers so I don’t see it as impossible that If they get to say 60-70 they may be given permission to analyse the data, like the COPD readout. As an aside it took my interest that a company called SERES who were running a phase III trial on C-diff infection were being considered for FDA approval but that the FDA normally would work on a minimum number of 300 patients to asses efficacy and safety. So, if you take the COVID trial number so far, the COPD trial and the older Asthma data along with home trial numbers They must be over that limit or very close to it. Interesting thought.
After mad Monday we went down briefly to 1.50 on the retrace, we now sit at 2.32. Hardly flatlining. That’s before COPD readout which should add a decent upside on positive results which I’m certain they will be. Personally think we’ll be north of £3. Only 11 trading days left in August.
COPD is estimated to be the biggest killer within a few years. Environmental pollution adding to this problem. At least 60% of COPD sufferers who have an exacerbation like a cold or flu end up hospitalised. £1500 a night for a hospital bed. Potential here and in the USA on COPD alone is huge. Kind of been forgotten a little in the COVID furore.
Frank- they are called Venrock. Hopefully they keep adding. Next RNS for COPD should send the SP well north again. Stickier fingers across the board now. Lansdowne may still sell a few but the likely demand will soften that blow anyways. Even they haven’t been heavy sellers in any case. Positive results will add weight to SNG001 being an all round general anti-viral.
Just got home from work, lathered myself up with suntan lotion to hit the garden, soon as I sat down the mother of all thunderstorms breaks out, typical. At least SNG is blue. I can see this being comfortably north of £3 on positive COPD news. Also expect to see a large trade tonight as MM’s were definately filling a large order at around 2.06 last night and this morning. Price was ticking up even on the sells.
I’m still in too, good to see some of the old school checking in tonight. The share and volume has changed dramatically since mad Monday. I’m excited to see what three weeks hard work since has brought SNG. If we don’t hear this week regarding COPD then we have a 50% chance next week news will land. If it doesn’t land next week then we have 100% certainty last week of August (assuming SNG meet the August deadline) No way I’m selling. GLA.
