RE: Lots of new shares hmmmm6 Feb 2026 22:54
I think some of those concerns are fair — AIM exploration companies always test patience — but it’s also worth looking at where GEO actually is today versus 2024.
The Namibia JV hasn’t landed yet, but interest in the Walvis Basin has clearly increased recently, and the company has said multiple parties are now involved. These deals are complex and timing rarely sits with the junior partner, so delays don’t necessarily mean failure.
On the gold side, yes exploration is high risk and takes time, but Juno has at least confirmed a mineralised system rather than a barren target, which is an important early step technically. Bringing in someone like Callum Baxter isn’t just about hype — his role is to interpret early-stage results and guide follow-up targeting, which is exactly what seems to be happening now.
Dilution is frustrating but also fairly typical for a small explorer without revenue; the key question is whether capital is being used to advance assets, and Gorge and Namibia activity suggests they are trying to build multiple shots on goal.
Ultimately 2026 probably becomes the proving year — either we see tangible progress (farm-out, better targeting, meaningful exploration results), or shareholder patience will run thin. For now I see a company repositioning rather than standing still.
