Putin vows to continue military operation in Ukraine21 Feb 2023 10:26
Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Tuesday the military operation in Ukraine will continue, with the military goals decided "step-by-step" to prevent tearing off Russia's "historical" territories.
During his first state of the nation address since the start of the war, Putin claimed that Moscow tried everything it could do to solve the issues in southeastern Ukraine by peaceful means, but that Ukraine's "neo-nazi" regime continued its fight in the disputed region of Donbass since 2014. The West turned a blind eye to the dispute, Putin argued.
Commenting on the relations with western powers, Putin called for ending the division between "civilized" countries and the rest of the world. The West started this war, and Russia is using force to stop it, Putin stressed, insisting that Kiev has been enslaved by its western allies.
