The deal is in billions so they are not squabbling over small things. As you say Newmont has access to the internal data room so they can see what internally Hav and all other assets are calculated at. For the past couple of years, unofficially, Hav has been said it contains up to 20mOz. On LinkedIn, Shaun interviews, Bamp calcs, etc etc. Officially this is not the case because the density of drilling cannot calculate 20mOz so it is a guess. Newmont can use whatever they like to make an offer. Newcrest shareholders are getting paid in shares in Newmont plus a one-off dividend. So they will own Newcrest plus Newmont assets after the merger.

For GGP shareholders Hav is currently everything. It is pretty much the entire market capitalisation. So it is much more important to us rather then Newmont. At some point this year we will wake up to a RNS that advises of the updated resource based on drilling to date. Hopefully it is a pleasant surprise. And it will still only be a portion of the entire ore body so it bodes well for the future. I think more important is the FS and DTM. The FS will outline in detail the NPV of the project and we need a 'yes' DTM in order to earn revenue. The market is awaiting this I feel for assurance on GGPs future.

For Newmont to value Newcrest they put in an offer before having access to the data room, they don't need to know every minutia of detail to buy Newcrest. Hav is a small part of a large portfolio.

Toffy did you look at where the land is on the map? Unsure how you link RIO to everything of late. You are a strange person to say the least.

Okay Tig, you seem to know best. You believe the MRE is being withheld. Which would be against the law in all honesty. Despite Dip outlining the complex process required to prepare a MRE, time consuming it seems. They just cannot report internal data to the market, that's how prior frauds of occurred in the mining industry of making up a resource to suck in investors. So external consultants required, Newcrest did not engage them.

It is all conjecture to suggest Shaun should have known in advance, and hence should have prepared his own MRE. Clearly he did not otherwise due to what happened after Newcrest made the Aug2023 market announcement.

IMO Shaun is a straight shooter. He has ethics. He isn’t trying to pull a swifty here and ruin his career. He plays by the book. He informs shareholders when there is something to release. Anyone suggesting Shaun is withholding information IMO hasn’t a clue what’s going on. Nothing is being withheld. These continuous left field RNSs the last year clearly show the new team recruited are busy working strategies to change the trajectory of GGP to become the next Northern Star. In good time this company is only going one direction IMO. If you think otherwise you shouldn’t be invested.
