I also agree. This is why the process of selling Telfer could take a while, lots of due diligence for the buyer, finance to consider etc

If you sell an item then you window dress it as a must buy for a buyer right… you don’t understate it. It must be business as usual for Telfer and Hav if Newmont expect a buyer to come in and take the keys off them. Newmont want a buyer to come in and take it over so they must keep it all running smoothly to entice a buyer that it is worth buying.

Personally I'd be surprised to wake up to an announcement from GGP ref: Telfer/Hav. This is the largest deal in GGPs history and will take some time to agree a price, decide a funding plan, perhaps we need a shareholder vote as well. I feel it will take longer than a week+ since the announcement from Newmont on 22nd Feb.

They did note that the gold price maintaining 2100 and above was key for the fund money to start arriving. if we can stay at 2100 for a week or two hopefully that is the catalyst. be good to buy telfer/hav before gold explodes, if it indeed does go up.
