The project wins are good news, of course but I think to many would be investors, the wrong type of news. Time and time again the question is asked- where are the disposals? Where is the recapitalisation? Re: the general macro economic conditions, I have argued before (and was ridiculed for it) that the peak in the FTSE and other equity markets would mean an inevitable pull back and in my opinion a bear market. Well, the FTSE has pulled back and guess what? Investors are retreating to less risky securities. As regards the price falling back down, we are seeing market forces at work. For all those who think this is worth 120p or 200p, ring up your broker and ask them to put in a buy order at that price, it will be sure to give them laugh. As regards Kier, interesting that, considering that there are reports of short positions being opened that are actually a few percent higher than here at IRV.

Oh right an article written on 24th August has caused a decline in the share price on 7th Sept. Whatever you say.

The company’s recent update showed that sales growth may prove to be difficult to achieve, with a difficult operating environment inhibiting its top-line performance. And while the company is delivering on its strategy to reduce costs over the medium term, I feel that there could be further disruption ahead when it comes to its profitability. In the current year, for instance, Interserve is expected to post a fall in EPS of around 77%. This could hurt investor sentiment and lead to continued falls in its valuation. After all, trends can persist for longer than many investors expect. Looking ahead to next year, the company is expected to report a significant increase in EPS. This is due to reduce its P/E ratio to around 4. While an improved financial performance could be ahead from the company, I feel that there are risks facing it at the moment. High debt levels could hurt its financial progress, while it may take a period of sustained growth to turn investor sentiment from negative to positive. In my opinion, Interserve lacks investment appeal at the moment. Although the company has won new contracts recently and is in the process of delivering on its strategy, I feel that it could take some time for it to perform a successful turnaround. At a time when there are a number of other stocks that offer more appealing risk to reward ratios in my eyes, I’m not feeling particularly bullish about the company at the moment

Looking at the support around 665 from a year ago, do people see growth from these levels or are we in for a further decline with a dividend trap? Finger hovering over the buy button.

Agree far too much inane nonsense on here Ajenjo. I think I'll share the words of one of your better posts try and maybe improve the quality around here. A medieval battlefield on the rolling hills of the British Midlands. Investors have positioned themselves in opposing formations, armies facing each other on the open field. Formations are now too distant to engage (Bulls at 200, Bears at 80 with Short raiders circling at 50). They are ready and eager to clash. It’s quiet before the Battle. With the exception of occasional touting, all that can be heard are inconsequential low-volume skirmishes at the sides. Some privates get hurt badly but they have no impact on the outcome of the war. Short raiders on their black horses had done some heavy damage in the past but are now being kept at bay by Interserve’s pikemen led by the White Knight. She is carrying Interserve’s flag proud. She is impressive. She is determined. Half of the Short horses have already wisely fled the Bear’s camp. Those that have stayed, still hungry for blood, look tense. They are also ready to retreat hastily, trampling their own side and accelerating Interserve’s advance, as soon as Interserve’s army starts marching forward. Brings a tear to my eye
