One thing worth taking into account..... the MOU signed on 9th April was for 6 months. So i would think the UK Gov have about 3 weeks max to secure their supply before they can open up their whole capacity to other parties.

Mologic have proven capabilities of getting successful lateral flow tests to market, some of the other companies have not.

One of the problems of the saliva test is sensitivity. Some are trying to use science and maths to argue that sensitivity is not important with high specificity. I don't buy it. It needs to be highly sensitive. I dont want to know that all negatives are correct i want to know there are no false negatives.

CK has been honest and transparent with the time-frames for the Antigen POC test as with everything else, which appear to tie in with UK Gov.

Antibody tests are like the worst kept secret. All comments on testing appear to deliberately omit the antibody tests. This is because these are in the bag, they are no longer trying to figure this out, it is just a case of timing of the plan and announcing it.

That's interesting as 80% of the production capacity is set aside for Mologic tests in the Original plan which are aimed at overseas markets, certainly the antibody tests. Selling the majority in the UK implies higher UK RTC tests, UK take up of mologic antibody tests or antigen tests.

Such a shame it has taken a global pandemic for ODX to show what a fantastic company it is. To all the investors that were part of ODX pre Covid, you deserve this reward for backing an honest, efficient, enterprising business in an under appreciated industry. I'm very impressed with how this company have gone about their business over the last few months, as much as we all want to be 20 steps further down the line. A pleasure to be invested. There's a long way to go on this journey yet, it has barely left the station.

This has been undervalued All through the last few months with milestones being delivered so this is just catch up from what has been achieved. Still a long way to go and big things to come. GLA

I'd expect some more L&G and/or Sneller shares sold into today as well, which clears some out the way and keeps the rise sustainable.

Share price baseline is really set up nicely to fly up through £1/£2 on any of the large expected updates. Those machines they have taken delivery off may as well just print £50 notes!!

Different solutions will suit different environments and we need several of them to play a part. Probably at an airport you need the best controlled and structured process. If you have to wait for 10 mins for a test how do you manage the logistics of the movement of people through the airport? How do you ensure the individual does not fudge the test to ensure they can travel? A 20 second test on entry clearly would be easier. But clearly you are not going to send one of these machines to every front door or even every office, school, theatre etc.
In general i would be looking at proven techniques at the moment. Lot's of concepts, but many of them will fail.

Of course not. Omega Visitect branded product. High margin. High volume. 800k capacity set aside. If UK RTC want more we need to expand or they need to pay more. This is a highly competitive product even vs the UK RTC product, when you take into account accuracy and triple antibody and cost.

General point - What we dont know is if the capacity quoted is just 5 days per week 9-5, or 7 days a week 24 hours. So can capacity be increased on the same equipment?

Mizman - yes totally. All free cash flow. We will sell as many as we can make.

Chuggley - BBI on their website claim 10-15m tests per year. I would think 5-10m of those are committed to UK RTC. Abingdon claim to have the largest capacity in Europe but they do not state what it is. At a guess somewhere between 2-5m. Of course they can expand further and they will.

The early spike in infections would have missed a lot of positive cases, because testing wasn't widely available and the testing would have missed many positives with false negatives. We need a mass testing program to understand exactly how many people have had the virus. What that means when they have the results is irrelevant as the tests will still be done and will need to be made to the level that will greatly benefit ODX.

Absolutely spot on Piper. ODX were intelligent enough to diversify their test portfolio early. In any business you need diversified products. That is exactly what Abingdon and BBI also want. When the consortium was formed the planned numbers were based on existing capabilities. Those capabilities have now increased 10 fold.

Never in a negotiation do you go in saying yours is the only product we can make. We can make 1m lateral flow tests. We have a second and third product that is more profitable to the business. So why would we commit more tests to a less profitable product, unless it can be made worth while or we just expand further when the time comes.

I personally think when the supply agreement comes out it will blow the market away and be greatly in excess of the expected 200k a week for ODX. I reckon 500k a week will be the number. Look out for comments that they are already looking to go beyond the planned 1m capacity.

The reason antibody testing is not part of moonshot is because it isn’t conceptual any more. They have done all this work on antibody testing, they have a product and a plan. It jut lay needs announcing and rolling out. It’s just a matter of timing.

This trial is about testing whether the process of mass testing as a day to day screening process works rather than testing a specific type of test for future use.
