If ABC-19 test is not available for professional use it's because the uk gov are absorbing anything that can be produced. Per the supply agreement government order has to be satisfied first. It's not poor its just the way it is.

If you genuinely required 250k tests, cant't understand why, i would suggest contacting Omega direct.

Whatever it is the gov will buy the tests, whether they announce it tomorrow the next day, the next week........

So basically it's just a self declaration and they will send them out by the looks of it. I guess only including 1 buffer packages it up for professional use and prevents them being useful individually. It still says available on back order which is a strong indication of demand.

The £3.20 Finncap assumed was based on the CD4 test and at a time sales were expected to be driven from export. It is certainly likely that ODX receive more than this per test and it may differ by location. The point is even on £3.20 a test the upside is significant.

Visitect antibody sales in the UK is fantastic. From early days this was expected to be an export quality test aimed at low income countries. It is clear that this is not the case, and the competition in this space is much lower than expected. We have 2 tests that are ahead of much of the competition in terms of performance

And by the way - we don't need to be making £10 as test it is a high volume low cost play, a classing product play. Anyone on any covid stock referring to the private tests and expecting to make £10+ on a test is dreaming. For the average product that sells in the £10-£20 bracket, what we make per unit will be higher than in most industries with high volume.

This was never about ripping people off. It is about solving a global health issue and making an honest profit. And that honest profit will be significant and reap huge rewards for us.

Okehurst.... incorrect. we will make probably around £1 per test based on the slightly higher comment for UK RTC. Mologic tests we will make more.

The UK RTC we are only supplying the sealed casing. For the Mologic tests we are supplying a branded Visitect complete product. We will make over 2x on the Visitect Antibody test. The Mologic/Visitect Antigen tests we will make around 4x more per test than the UK RTC test. This is why 80% of our capacity was set aside for our own branded tests.

The test's that are selling for £50 plus, the actual test kits are no more expensive to produce than ours and will sell for comparable prices. The cost of these tests is more the human labour cost.

I think how the RNS could have been written is that the 100/200k capacity we have put aside will be supplied to Abingdon. We should see that as a minimum order of 200k per month whereas the RNS suggests it's conditional upon demand and requiring orders. This is for sure not the case as demand is there whether we have a UK gov contract for it or not.

Symbo - there is clearly a lot more going on than what we have been told . I'd love more transparency and be sitting at £3, but also i am happy to keep buying cheap knowing what's coming. Added more this morning.

Symbo - to be fair that is one of the things i like about Omega. They are transparent and honest and at the point i push the buy button when i add to my position i do so with confidence that i am not buying at a value where there is far too much hype and conditional progress already priced in. I think that the newsflow is influenced by a mixture of government and regulation holding things back, and Omega's under promise, over deliver attitude.

I am wondering if that £75m could be linked to scaling up capacity. I remember the Blair article said talks with the Government about scaling up and then CK mentioning plans to scale up by end of Oct.

I'm not sure i would say the world isn't ready for antibody testing yet. Individually it would be extremely beneficial. But as part of a wider national screen, it may be more effective in a few months time, once tests have been stockpiled and made readily available in bulk, if science can get to prove 9 months immunity, and the percentage of the population with antibodies is increased from the second wave. The government wont tell you this because if they say they are holding it back it will be seen as letting people die.

If anyone is stupid enough to sell and fall for a drop on a presentation with positive insight because they don’t think the CeO is Rampy and excited enough is a fool and you have 2 examples of people getting robbed from it, so time to learn.

And when he mentioned that capacity, it was specifically in relation to Moonshot as well, so we pretty much know we will be playing a part in that.

_TCO - They are on commercial sale through distribution partners. They will not RNS every sale it will come in trading updates. The upcoming trading update may be too soon to get a feel.

The important thing to remember is lateral flow testing is still in it's infancy, the market hasn't really begun yet. We cannot as consumers get our hands on an approved home test at the moment, and we have to pay private to get any sort of antibody test. But this will be where all the action is in 2021. So it's not really fair to judge Omega on current sales when currently the whole industry is in a pre market phase. But it will come, and it is clear to see Omega are doing everything they can to be ready. The need for lab based testing will drop significantly as lateral flow tests come online. So if sales are not there at the moment because of approvals, supply, rights of refusal, science - they will come. Omega will produce what they can and even if they stock pile now and sell nothing until Jan, they will sell, and it will be no different financially to selling all your stock on the day it is made.

The most interesting thing for me is CK promised news of a plan to further increase capacity by the end of this month. Once3 things are up and running our capacity will be the limiting factor. We will sell every test we make.

We are not reliant on RTC tests at all. We have one of the best hedges product portfolios.

Per CK business plan 80% of the capacity is reserved for non UK RTC tests, so how can we be too reliant on them. You have no idea what the situation is with sales of other products until the trading update and presentation next week.

People are massively missing the value here.

Nobody is asking odx to take over the world, (I think you might be mixed up with another stock) just to sell enough tests to use its capacity, and with the products they have and their capacity being a tiny portion of the amount of tests globally needed, it won’t be a problem.
