More of the same old same I guess. We seem to be where we were three years or so ago when LIGHT was supposed to be on track to treat the first patient within a year. A period of no news was followed by the original timetable being scrapped and the 2018 date for first treatment suddenly became 2021.
I know I was taking a gamble in selling my AVO share but everything is a gamble anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if AVO drops again before there are major gains. In which case I might buy back in.
At the moment, I have more interesting prospects elsewhere in companies that have actually earned revenue.
I have followed AVO for years. It is only the technology that keeps me interested. In my humble opinion, the BOD are a bunch of money grubbing sharks. They have consistently lied to shareholders over the years. They announced timelines they don't stick to but lie about when they fall two years behind. They regularly announce new contracts that have then vanished. They have accepted money from backers that they have been forced, under threats of legal action, to repay.
They are the Donald Trumps of the stock market. Promising the earth but never delivering.
The totally undeserved share options are the last straw for me. I'm out.
I agree that 2021 is the make or break year but I am concerned at the lack of information about progress at Harley Street. The building works seem to have been completed and the site has apparently been handed over to AVO but we have heard nothing since then. I would have hoped for more information by now.
I hold because of LIGHT and its provenance from CERN but I have doubts about the BoD.
Stockopedia classify it as a sucker stock
I have seen very many very upbeat Hardman reports about AVO over the years. They get wearying. I haven't read much more than the headline of this one but I could probably tell you more or less what it says. For example, " AVO has seen significant commercial traction, with three collaborations announced in early 2020. " They said the same in 2016. Those collaborations vanished along with others they announced later on. I only hope that the same doesn't happen this time.
At least the Harley Street site really does seem to be progressing. Although, I was not able to find any reference on the de Walden website to AVO.
I hold AVO shares and just topped up but I remain cautious and cynical.
I've been a holder, on and off, for over 5 years. I was lucky to sell before the big drop.
I'm back in because things seem to be coming together at last, although I share people's doubts and agree that it will probably take some time yet before we see the sp move much.
Two things in particular I don't like about the BoD are that they don't communicate with shareholders like us and it is impossible to communicate directly with the BoD. All communications are always through whichever company is handling their investor relations. Historically, they rarely gave straight answers.
It is only the LIGHT machine and its CERN provenance that keeps me interested.
Don't worry Max. As you said there are plenty of great opportunities out there. I could name you some if you like. I've got a few.
GAW has reached new heights despite the market drop and could go much higher.
AVO could be just as good. Maybe!
I think that LIGHT has enormous potential for shareholders but only if the BoD can get their act together and keep control of the company. Among the potential dangers I see is that the BoD is so inept that they would allow the company to be manoeuvred into insolvency by, for example, Chinese interests and snapped up by the Chinese at a pittance in order to get their hands on LIGHT. If that happened, it would remain to be seen what steps CERN could take as owners of the licence to keep control of what happened to LIGHT.
