Good price to get in atm....29 May 2014 04:48
in my opinion. When I read the RNS, I felt a bit uncomfortable about the impact on the sp short term as it seemed to me that the anticipated costs of the plan were relatively high (although longer term, the company will reduce overheads) and CMS did not give enough detail about the financials eg where the funding would come from, how long it would take to recover costs etc.
That said, they have plenty backing, good long term contracts with some big players and are making profits. Their movement away from paper based direct mail is a sign of the times and a very sensible strategy, although obviously difficult for the staff involved. From the financial statements issued previously, the company states that it is looking to take on more staff in certain areas and if it is practical to do so, my guess is that affected staff may be offered posts elsewhere in the business during the consultation period.
The sp now looks like a good entry point imo given the prospects for CMS.
